Is it the Players or the Coaches???

As we sit at 4-4, all of us get pissed over the what if"s!!! We should be 6-2 or 5-3, obviuously the fact is we are not. As I watch other games around the league, I see teams win with less talent (my opinion) than Dallas. SO my question is who is at fault??? Players or Coaches??? After 8 games and almost 3 years....quite frankly I am done with this group, even with the Defensive staff overhaul this past off season. We continue to make crucial mistakes in closing out games, we seem to always play to the level of the competition, especially teams deemed beneath us. Why?? Garrett and Callahan are not making the most out of the talent we have. Call me a homer, but with our skill set, we should never be in a position of not scoring 24-28 pts a game. You have a top 3 WR and he fails to get a ball thrown is way each and every game until the first half is almost over??? Are you kidding me....We have a team blitzing the A gap, leaving the middle open, yet we fail to exploit with one of the best TE's in the game??? Analysts are even talking smack on us. Roll back the video and watch our play design, at times its mind boggling.....we force trying to run when a D loads the box, we played scared to win games, ALL THE TIME!!! Defensively, I know we have no names up front, and this whole scheme is built on pressure up front. But we are becoming a laughing stock, last years Saints, historically bad!!! Are the players that bad or the schemes we play.....Does every team in the league have better talent???? must be since we are the worse on Defense!! We cover Megatron with single coverage??? One week we blitz the next we dont??? Not sure Kiffin still has it.

My point is we are 4-4, the 8-8 looming larger everyday because quite simply, our coaching staff is terrible!!! 2-3 games a year lost by being outcoached. If that doesnt change, nothing will....enjoy the process of being average!!

Now one could say players may not be talented enough, but ultimately they have to perform.

Many good points. I feel the same. Yes not targeting Dez is hard to believe. The coaches deserve the blame in my opinion.
I do like what JG has done with our roster but strategy and clock management are questionable. Not taking a knee was a bad tactical error.

Dallas really does need to get more creative with Dez.
Detroit was moving Calvin all over the place.

I see an offense programmed to not only telegraph their intended run/pass play selection (with Murray out and backups they obviously don't trust in pass protection), but to let defenses dictate whether they run or pass, and where.

Add to that an antiquated defensive scheme with a line decimated by injury and man corners asked to play zone and it's a great recipe for disaster.

It's everyone. If coaches had no impact on it then there would be no need to pay them. So the coaches are to blame, the players are to blame, front office, equipment guy, the gardener, that guy that jobs by VR every morning at 5 AM, even that freaking stupid bird that always chirps way too loud from his tree on the VR lawn... ALL of them are to blame.

coaches. only like 7 players exist from 4 years ago. when you have churned all of the players and still suck it is someone evaluating the talent or coaching the talent that is the failure.
