Is it worth it to have a player like TO on this team? with all the hoopla and circus that follows him, would this team be better off if we wouldve kept Keyshawn or signed another WR rather than have all the distractions that come with TO? noone knows for sure how this will play out, but my god its only 3 weeks into the new season and im almost fed up hearing about TO every minute of the day. your thoughts.....:starspin

I did not want TO here but I can't fault him in any way for what is taking place regarding the recent incident. As for the attention as long as it is not affecting the team which I don't think it is I have no problem with TO at this stage. For me as long as TO is not ripping teammates, coachs or the organization I have no issue with him. Do what is asked of you and play up to your ability and we are cool.

This is nothing new to Cowboy fans...

Lance Rentzel
Duane Thomas
Hollywood Henderson
Michael Irvin
Leon Lett
Erik Williams

All carried a lot of negative publicity for this team...

There are plenty more, but these grabbed the headlines most often as players...

I am just ready for this dude to start doing something. I get all the TO is a great player hype, but i want to see it. I want to see him dominate a game. I want to see him take a 6 yard pass 80 yards. Tired of the hype, popcorn getting stale.

I'm going to give TO an 8 or 9 for his behavior since joining the team.

The only criticism I might have would be the wisdom of wearing the biking togs that day in camp. While I think it was kind of funny I would have also been very wary of doing that with Parcells as coach knowing how injuries are such a hot button for him. I'm thinking you should be on pretty solid relationship ground before trying something like that. Keyshawn & Glenn could do it but it's just too risky with TO's rep and lack of history with Bill. That said, it didn't develop into anything that I could tell.

I guess the book where he slams McNabb & Eagles was a less than ideal choice as well.

The hammy hoopla and now the ER visit were all media hype that TO cannot be blamed for even if he truly tried to harm himself.

But do I therefore think his positive Cowboy track record of 6 months or so has made him a swell guy who was framed in his previous stops? No. I think he needs to own his piece of those failures and I still believe his piece is very significant. He's at times expressed remorse which is positive but I still feel like he's a potential time bomb.

This move remains a very big gamble with both big upside and big downside. I know Jerry positioned the contract to minimize the cap pain of releasing TO should that become necessary, but given the media frenzy surrounding TO, and realistically that will never change given his past, any breakup would be very public and painful for the org. I don't think it'll reach the heights it did in Philly & SF, but we'll still get scarred.

Its way too soon to see how this will all end up.

I can live with the media overreactions even though I loathe them.

He sells the most jerseys along with Roy Williams...

He keeps Dallas constantly in the national spotlight...

What's not to like for Jerry Jones?

Marketing at it's finest...Jerry is all business...

I hear ya... I dont mind the slow start as long we still win.... he started fast win McFlabb.... so a different REAL, ROOTED ascencsion would be nice - I want him to gradually become more animal and explode in post season

Absolutely not! From the first I didn't want this guy on my team because he IS a distraction. No matter what he does it willl be blown out of all proportion and become a distraction to the team.

He is all about Terrell Owens and ONLY about Terrell Owens and Jerry Jones was a fool to sign the guy.

WR was NOT the problem last season and if Jerry wanted to put a bunch of money towards fixing what was wrong then he should have signed Adam Vinatieri, Steve Hutchinson, and a quality RT rather than Owens.

I was fed up of hearing about Owens the day we signed him.

Stupid, stupid move Jerry! :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2: :bang2:
