Is Kosier this good?

and some folks thought he was our weak link

Exactly, and I think its just about the chain effect.

It's after games like this that people tend to realise how much better a guy like Kyle is than when he's in. He's just one of those lineman that no one pays a whole lot of mind, so they think he's not good, then when he's out you realise he's a lot better than you thought he was.

Procter is terrible. Just not quick enough or strong enough to hold the point. But today the problem was Flo and a little bit of Colombo. Flo was ridiculously bad today.
That sums it up perfectly.

YAKUZA

Having played Left Guard and Right Guard I can definitely say that some of Flo's bad play was not having that comfy feel a Tackle has when he knows his Guard is taking care of business. It's something that develops in practice. You see the Guard getting beat and you start to compensate a little to the inside in an effort to help. I really believe Flo's bad play was mostly due to not having Kosier there next to him. It's not like he can't play without Kosier there. It's just that if the Guard isn't at least holding up his end of the bargain Flo is often wondering in the back of his mind and he will naturally try to help out even when he shouldn't. Proctor looked terrible in the game so I have no doubt he looked terrible in practice as well. The seed was planted in Flo's mind during the week.

What is the deal with Holland? Why isn't he playing? He's been here long enough to know the playbook by now. Why in the hell did we trade for him if we can't get him on the field?

He must be horifically bad. If he hasn't beaten out Proctor yet, we might as well release him because he serves absolutely no purpose.

Holland did play one series.

Choice recovered their onside kick, then we came out with Holland at left guard and gained 14 yards on our first two plays--both runs, both to the right. That set us up with 1st & 10 at their 32 in a tie game. Huge moment in the game.

Next three plays...
1st down--La Boy blows past Flozell to almost sack Romo, forcing an incompletion. Some people have been saying Flozell was worried about protecting the inside all day because of Procter. On this play, it was Holland.

2nd down--Garrett tries to fool their LB´s with a misdirection play, having Gurode and Davis go left for a run to the right by Barber. The LB´s are not fooled, and Holland (who was supposed to pull and lead Barber to the right) looks like a potted palm. The end result is that the entire interior of our line (Davis, Gurode, and Holland) blocked no one on the play and Barber gains one yard.

3rd down--Romo fumbles the shotgun snap, taking us out of FG range.
