Cowboys have given up big rushing days this season. I believe that starts up front and not with Sean Lee.

Rams, Eagles, Pack all approached two hundred yards rushing on the Cowboys and the Broncos were over a 150.(with Sean Lee)

Cowboys only allowed ONE team to rush for over hundred last season and that was in the throwaway finale.

They make a mistake in thinking Collins could handle the tackle duties?

He seems to have disappeared this year. I don't buy the playing out of position excuse either. Aren't that is what coaches are to do. Prepare them.

They are playing Collins at the 1 tech. It's not his best position.

Yet another example of dumb player personnel decisions biting us in the butt. They went cheap at the 1 Tech and now are paying for it.

Finally....someone gets it. He's being asked to just sit there and take up space while his talents of rushing the QB are being wasted by this brilliant coaching staff.

Just another overhyped Cowboy player. Jerry and his coaches sell **** like this all the time.

Decent player, 3rd round pick, nothing more nothing less.

He is playing out of position. He is playing 1tech this season but 3tech last season.

Collins was not the primary issue against the Eagles.

I understand Collins is playing out of position, but he was kind of a disappointment even before Irving got back.

Sure he had some sacks early on, but not the consistent pressure needed.

Speaking of Irving, he's disappeared. Being held a lot more, but I think teams are using his quick initial burst/pressure against him.

I think Irving is a DE but is being forced to play DT due to Pea retiring and other injuries.

They have to find a 1 Tech in the off season and move Irving to RDE in my opinion.

This is the price you pay when your interior plans go to ****. Collins trained all off season for the 3-tech. Rember all the videos of him training, his quick get off and rush moves. Than got dumped to 1-tech, to be a space eater.
As for Irving, hes just too small. He has a very quick first step and strong for his size. But hes not a " big ugly".
Best suited as a strong side DE, who moves inside when we rush 3. And thats also part of our problem, Law, Crawford, Irving, And probably Taco as well are all strong side DEs.
Blame the coachs not the players put in positions to fail.

I had much higher hopes for him. His rookie season was even better than Warren Sapp's. I expected a much better season but was told "he's on pace for 10 sacks!!!"

How's that "pace" looking right about now?

But think of the bright side, at least they haven't given Collins a "Crawford contract" yet.

You can't help but notice Marinelli's attacking calls up front being taken advantage of. Irving was getting trapped all night long. Heck, sometimes they just let him charge up the field out of the play. They've figured out Rod's tricks up front and they're using them against him.

We got beat by the same trap block all game and it was mainly Irving........ Hitchens, Durant and JSmith got swallowed by Philly's OL..... the coaches never adjusted....... they never do

Supposedly he needs a space eater next to him. That's why they went out and signed the great Stephen Paea last offseason, haven't heard a whole lot from him though..oh that's right he's not even on the team.

He was playing decent before his injury.

Adjusting is admitting defeat. Keep on running into the brick wall, eventually it'll crack. Eventually, maybe.
