Is Mahomes career over?

7 straight AFC title games, 3 straight Super Bowls (2 of them wins) and he has one bad game and letdown season and now his career is over at 30yrs old? Lol. Sports overractions never fail to deliver comedy.

For Mahomes, SB wins have become the metric (wish Dak had that problem). So anything less than that and it's considered a failure. IMO, he's still the best QB in the league. As long as he is on the field, opponents will hold their breath. Especially in the final minutes. His career is far from over.

KC's oline blows. Their run game is decent with Pacheco and Hunt. They have Rashee Rice, Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy. JuJu as well. Noah Gray isn't a bad TE. I think they are fine at the skill positions. They have rushed for 1500 yds as a team this year. Their defense is solid, but they can't get a pass rush. Chris Jones may be starting to hit the back 9 of his career. I do think Mahomes tries to do too much at times. He's forced balls and tried to make the impossible throws his whole career. Up until this year he's mostly gotten away with it. He's on pace to have the most INT's of his career and also the lowest passer rating and completion % of his career. He holds the ball too long at times trying to make the big play and it bites him in the butt. He is still elite, but he has taken a step back this season for sure. Too early to say if it's the beginning of the end for him or if its just a bad season.

3 picks tonight - 17.1 QBR???

Defense still only gave up 20 points.

Is he finished?
Not even close, but this team as currently constructed is.

Mahomes is now being hit hard because his salary is just so constricting. They redid his contract so his cap hit was only 28 mil this season, but it goes up to 78 mil next season, and then 74. I'm sure they'll redo it again, but all that money being pushed down the road gotta be paid at some point.

if Dak had numbers like this, that would be the conversation.
Here we go ......... these Dak is the best QB fans are so uptight and desperate they make silly threads like this.

Dak is a good regular season QB ....... why do his super fans feel the need to do this?

This isn't a Dak thread.

It is not restricting. They will adjust it again next season. $28M is one of the lowest.

Yes, it is. The nuh uh uh huh arguments are silly. And it's obvious you didn't read my post.

So, you're claiming that the Chiefs just let their starting OG, starting S, and one of their starting DT's walk just for the heck of it? Make sense dude, c'mon.

They've been letting guys walk for several years now so they could pay Mahomes/Kelce/Chris Jones.

In 24 they let their starting CB, starting LB, starting OT, and starting WR walk. Yeah, they don't miss them at all.

Facts, man, facts.

His contract will most be likely extended and pushed back. You will see what happens.

Pretty sure they did.
Unreal.... and two teams passed him over for other QBs. Good class

His skill set is not the flash-in-the-pan type--where a 1st year player can catch DCs off guard due to read-option etc.

But yes, how much he grows will be interesting to follow. I suspect he's a long-term keeper, but will wait and see.
They beat the Bills in the first match up by 3. The next best team the beat was the Buccaneer. After that the Panthers.
Let's see what he does next season when he has a schedule that isn't a bunch of 2-4 win teams!

no matter how much you wish it does not make it true
Vrabel seems to have learned things from his first HC job
and they are doing very well in talent acquisition
mayes has shown good consistency as well
sad to say there is a very good chance the pats are going to dominate that division once again

Lol,
Next year's Commanders fail candidates!

If you look at the current draft order that is NE's schedule.

Lol,
I could care less.
Using basic reasoning skills one can deduct its very likely!
you have nothing but emotion which is meaningless
and clearly you do care since you keep posting in this thread

Lol,
No!
I have repeated instances of mediocre 6-8 win talented teams having good seasons on an easy schedule and then collapsing the following season with a tougher schedule.
And never have I seen an easier schedule than what the patriots faced this season!
