Is McBriar too 'strong' for Jerry World?

Elizabeth from Los Angeles is concerned about the Cowboys' kicking game: Hey Matt, I have a question regarding the Cowboys' new stadium. How high is the video board, and do you think that a punter could could hit the screen?

Mosley: Elizabeth, I asked Jerry Jones that exact question during my recent site visit, which appeared on "Monday Night Countdown" for at least 18 seconds. Jones assures me the 60-yard-long boards will be "out of play," but I'm not so sure. I haven't seen them suspended above the field yet, but Cowboys punter Mat McBriar gets incredible hang-time on his kicks. My guess is that Jones will send McBriar over to the stadium once his foot is healed and let him have a go at things. It might be awkward to punt while wearing a hardhat, but McBriar will be up to the task.

How funny would it be if Jerry has to tell McBriar to watch out when he's punting so he doesn't bring down the new 'above the field' scoreboard.

Well, if he does kick the ball and brings down the scoreboard....and kills the players on the field...kills the refs...kills Rowdy (the water boy got out alive).

Mcbriar's punts were already tested to see how high they could go last year to see if his height came close to the height of the scoreboard, he didn't come close...

The scoreboard is 90 feet above the playing field. That is about 8 stories high. I doubt he gets that kind of hang time. The biggest worry is going to be that with that Hi-Def sucker will anyone even watch the live action?

I thought he managed to hit the one at the Alamodome, or something like that, but wasn't able to get it to the height of the new stadium's scoreboard.

Found it. From the DMN:

3:14 -- Mat McBriar just boomed a punt off the scoreboard. McBriar and rookie kicker Nick Folk are standing on the sideline aiming for it. Jerry had McBriar do this the other day, because he's trying to figure out how high to put the scoreboard in JerryWorld.

To put this in context, though, the scoreboard was being set at different heights to see how low Dallas could possibly put its new scoreboard. McBriar said in another article that he thought 100 feet would be out of play.
