Is one conference better than the other?

Maybe the last few years, but not this year. The NFC has closed the gap significantly. The AFC isn't as well balanced as the NFC.

Thanks to Denver's "convincing" victory over the Cowboys, the AFC is now 21-20 vs. the NFC in 2005.

Goes in cycles I guess.

At one time it was the NFC Championship that was considered the Superbowl by many because it was the game with the two best teams in the NFL for a long time.

AFC then took over after Denvers wins for the most part.

I think it is growing closer but over all I think the AFC still has the better group of teams.

Minus the Colts, the conferences are probably closer to parity than ever.

i dont think either conference is particularly great. apart from the colts there are no great teams in my mind. I think Carolina, despite their record, and maybe even dallas are as close as it comes to the colts...who are way ahead
