Is Romo the Danny White/ Bernie Kosar of this Decade?

Hard to shake the image of those two perennial pro bowl playoff chokers that had nice stats, nice teams, high expectations, winning seasons and always blew the big games for one reason or another; is Tony Romo conjuring up images of these two players to anyone else?

A good, fun, quarterback that will tease you with just enough success to build your faith up in him only to hit a mental wall come crunch time in the most important junctures in the season?

In all honesty if Dallas doesn't win a playoff game in 2009 it may be time to sack Mr.Romo.

This team has been underachieving since 2005 and next year will be Romo's third full season as a starter, the three year rule applies to all.

Cut down on turnovers, even Favre was at least winning Wildcards at this point in his career before the team took the next step.

Color me skeptical that Tony Romo is not White-Kosar; he has 2009 to shed that monkey; after that Dallas is just being stubborn if they don't at least consider a different route at signal caller.

Dont disrespect Danny White like that. He actually won some playoff games and took his team to a couple of Conference championships. This team cant even win a playoff game.

Those guys actually won playoff games.

Danny White >>>>>>>>>> Romo any day until Romo proves otherwise. I just want to win ONE damn playoff game. We won a lot under White, just couldn't get past the NFCC game.

You guys need to stop being drama queens and stop blaming the QB. He's a top 5 QB in the NFL hands down. He makes quick reads, makes nice plays. His problem is his offensive coordinator.

I'd love to have Danny White right now...and I'll say this: Time to draft a QB...

So typical to blame everything on the quarterback. Good quarterbacks like Romo are hard to come by.

And fumbles PAT snaps to lose playoff games.

How many more chances does Romo deserve?

Sorry... After seeing the play calling this week I have trouble putting all the blame on Romo.

Don't get me wrong, he was off on quite a few throws, but we wouldn't have even been in it without him.

No. Did you see Romo zipping those passes in accurately when the offense suddenly started playing? I just see it as dysfunctional coaching by Garrett. He doesn't know when to call what.

Danny White was a good QB. It's not like Football is an individual sport. Was he on the field during "The Catch"? Nope, that was defense.

People need to quit bashing White.

It makes me think that you would bash Marino as well since he's never won anything....and I'd say that he was a pretty good QB.

He's Dan Marino's ******** step brother.

All joking a side, and after cooling off, the guy can't do everything himself, blocking was horrible.

He'll be okay.

Drama queen? White and Kosar were top five qbs in their day as well but even Jim McMahon won a Super Bowl and Boomer Esiason and Phil Simms and Doug Williams and Jay Schroder and Tony Eason all led teams to the big game and they were not top five or ten qbs in their era.

Some times the top stat guys or even talent guys have a mental hurdle or discipline problem in their skill set ie the turnovers.

Get over that. He also led the drive down the field that game. He makes this offense do anything. Because he scrambles he lets receivers break free, otherwise they would not. (look at Brad Johnson)

Yeah Brad was horrible, but he's not the league's worst QB. Maybe the reason they couldn't do anything was because the offensive playcalling was so terrible

Garrett is part of the problem.

However, with that said...
Romo is a good quarterback, but he's never consistent. While he can make the big plays, he can't make the little plays that move the chains most of the time. Sometimes getting the check down is all we need.

Tonight's game got me off Romo's wagon, he needs to prove himself to the fans, the organization, and the rest of the team.

The only players that deserve respect from tonight's performance are Witten, Choice, Ware, Ratliff, James, Newman, and Pacman.

Well, now we need other teams to lose to get into the playoffs, hate to say it, but we don't deserve to get in.

That just goes to prove that they NEED a team around them that can get it done....as well as coaching and play-calling that plays to their strength.

To blame Romo for every loss is just ridiculous. He's been the reason that we are even still on a playoff hunt, as well as the play of the defense throughout the past 6 weeks.

All i need to say is that a little competition doesn't hurt anyone. If we draft a QB, maybe Romo will step up his game.

He is a great QB, but his INTs and forced throws really mess this team up.
