That just goes to prove that they NEED a team around them that can get it done....as well as coaching and play-calling that plays to their strength.

To blame Romo for every loss is just ridiculous. He's been the reason that we are even still on a playoff hunt, as well as the play of the defense throughout the past 6 weeks.
Not blaming him for every loss, but his pick put them in field goal range to lead at the half.

He is at fault for the Pittsburgh loss.

I'm just starting to wonder if arrested development has caused him to hit a maturity wall.

Romo just makes too many mistakes and then starts making plays when its too late to make it seem like he played a lot better than he really did. Football is a 60 minute game not just play like garbage and then play great the next n you are off the hook. ESpecially from the QB position. Now dont get me wrong im not putting all the blame on Romo for this game or for this season but its fairly obvious that he is part of the problem. i wouldnt cut him or trade him because the coaching staff needs to be fixed up first but Romo's leash is getting smaller and smaller...

Yes cut romo and watch BP pick him up in miami and win the superbowl by providing him with a line that blocks for him

Why he did not do it while he was here..?

Its the playcalling. He clearly can find open receivers as proven when he's in the hurry up and defenses are forced into certain situations. This offense moves the chains on freelancing. Its amazing and sad at the same time.

Blah...blah...blah...same old thread every single time we lose. No originality or thought provoking insight, just the same stuff. This should have been posted before the game..."If we lose...is Tony Romo...:bang2:

Dallas will not win anything with this version of Romo. I like...no scratch that love Romo. However, he makes too many mistakes right now.

No. Did you see Romo zipping those passes in accurately when the offense suddenly started playing? I just see it as dysfunctional coaching by Garrett. He doesn't know when to call what.
It's called prevent defense.

Yes, we need to draft a good QB like Matt Ryan. Imagine how much better we would be with a smart QB who doesn't fold under pressure?

Well, I guess you should do something besides post on a Cowboy message board then.

Dont disrespect Danny White like that. He actually won some playoff games and took his team to a couple of Conference championships. This team cant even win a playoff game.

No it's not because a lot those passes were right on the money when a defender was near the player. They weren't hitting holes in a soft zone.

Hard to shake the image of those two perennial pro bowl playoff chokers that had nice stats, nice teams, high expectations, winning seasons and always blew the big games for one reason or another; is Tony Romo conjuring up images of these two players to anyone else?

Color me skeptical that Tony Romo is not White-Kosar; he has 2009 to shed that monkey; after that Dallas is just being stubborn if they don't at least consider a different route at signal caller.

You got one out of two right.

In his first three seasons, Danny White had a 30-11 egular season record and got Dallas to three straight NFC Championship games. The third one, against Washington, Danny was knocked out of the game by half-time. Tony Romo may one day be better than White, but right now he can't be compared to Danny. You are insulting White by making this comparison.

A new head coach and offensive coordinator would help Romo :banghead:

Danny White >>>>> Tony Romo untill Tony proves himself in December and beyond (which I think, and hope, he will in the near future):starspin

Realistically, he's the QB next season no matter what we think, but the main focus should be shoring up the OL, and letting Barber, Choice, and Jones do their thing. When the defense cheats, then we'll throw - that would substantially cut down on the turnovers and make us a lot more consistent.

With those backs, just a solid OL would make for a nasty running game. The main thing will be having guys who don't regularly commit stupid penalties or blow assignments. Negative plays are a killer for a running game.

I think Romo would be a better QB in an offense where he's expected to put up Aikman-like numbers versus an offense that's built around the big play/deep passes. The fantasy leaguers would hate it, but I think we'd win more with him throwing for closer to 200 ypg than 300.

Or we could change the coaching to mold him into a better QB. He still has potential to be a great QB, he's just not where he needs to be mentally.
