from what I saw at the game Sunday,yes!!!!!!Roy was left deep by himself,playing the free safety spot.Roy belongs up on the LOS,and in cover 2.Roy cant cover the whole field deep,especially alone.

And I'm talking man 2 man coverage. Not even Ed Reed has great man 2 man cover skills. He's great in zone (the best IMO) but not man 2 man.

What about the one's he has dropped as well? There have been a few. He makes good plays and he makes bad plays. All players do but some his mistakes are HUUUGE to. To me that = an average player.... That's what he is and I know it bothers some of his apologists but that's reality...Homer Logic may dictate something else but I don't use it.

Yes, cuz it's not normal for a DB to drop an INT. Roy is the only one that ever does it.

there are times i must bow to the irrefutable logic such as this. : )

is covering wr's a stong suit of roys? nope. no one i know of ever said it was. but "liability"? no more than 1/2 the CB's we have come through here in the last decade.

like i said - i'm waiting for a stat for stat comparision to say he sucks, not some people bashing roy to proclaim they're not a homer.

I don't think it is blind bashing. He is what he is. He's popular and a celebrity because of his big hits PERIOD, not his "consistant" play because it doesnt exist. Have you ever seen him in person? I was at the Saints game and I'm convinced he needs to go to an eye doctor. He gets such a late break on every pass, it's almost like he doesnt see it. I'm not blind bashing but Williams is blind pursuing. lol

when Roy is used like a FS instead of a SS,that becomes a liability.if you dont agree with me thats fine.if you need proof,look at the replay from Sundays game.Roy was playing FS,not SS,for the second half.
