I expect more anti-T.O posts from you as well..

T.O blew past coverage and LIKE ALWAYS!!!!! was underthrown by Chad Penni.... I mean Tony.

You are definitley not Jack Bauer...

More like Chloe or Edgar.

I don't hate TO. I'm just ready to cut ties. He's 35. His drops bother me. He obviously gets upset if his stats are not up to par. I have not heard him complain about Saturday, he had good stats. Had we lost and he not had good stats, look out. I think there will be much more of an even flow without Owens next year. We have plenty of talent in Williams, Witten, Felix, Austin, Hurd, Bennett, and Choice without him.

Somehow I doubt Philly will double him. No one in an Eagle uniform respects T.O., and I don't think they could admit to themselves that he's better than them one-on-one.

I think they do have significant respect for him, and I'm pretty sure they'll do what everyone else not named SF has been doing, but I'd really love to see them try to single him up this week. That'd make for a pretty fun game, one way or another.

What does being over the hill mean?

Does it mean he's slower? We know that's not true.

Does it mean he can't beat the jam? We know that's not true.

Yeah, what I meant was respect as a person, not as a player. They know T.O. is good, but I think the hate can affect decision making. I think they'll make T.O. beat them one-on-one at least once before giving in and doubling.

He isn't over the hill.
But he is slowing down and losing agility.
Anyone that has lived through their 30s and had some athletic ability knows what I am talking about.

I don't care how good of a shape you keep your body in, you lose agility, coordination, quickness and speed in your mid 30s. It is happening to him and you can clearly see it this year.

T.O. has 10 touchdowns this year. The leading receiver in the NFL has 11. He's probably going to go over 1000 yards again on Sunday. Factor in the 3 games without Romo (2 of them would have been against horrible defenses, if only he had someone who could throw the damn ball downfield) and he's actually had a pretty good season. Just not compared to his usual stats.

T.O. is still a very good receiver. He takes care of his body and he works as hard as any receiver in the league (whether ppl want to admit it or not).

Thread Killer. You destroyed the TO hate party with this succinct post.
TO is getting old but he is still a ways from being considered past his prime.

The better question is... Will Jason Garrett get back to putting TO in positions to make plays by moving him around or will he continue to run TO out to the corner and make the double team an easy task for opposing DCs?

I can't really add anything else to your post so I will end mine right here --->. ;)

TO is absolutely past his prime.
His prime was 2-4 years ago (low 30s).
Anyone in a sport like football or basketball who plays a position like WR who is 35 is, without question, 'past his prime'.
Debating that is plain silly.

Is he over the hill?

No

Is he past his prime...?

Still plateua'd in it. Playcalling has shafted him from a big year.

I know Tony missed on that long td pass, but this guy has all but disappeared from our offense.

You can't just say that and then quickly move past it.

Would you even be asking this question if Romo hits him in stride and he scores ??

I think thats less than 25% of his completions to him.

I hope there is some way to part with TO.

He's not worth all the drama that surrounds him.

Sure. They've got the CBs to give it a shot.

The downside of getting blown up by TO in McNabb's last game, with playoffs on the line, is pretty big. My guess is they play it safe, at least until they see if our OL has figured out how to handle stunts.

Has anyone watched him run this year?

If you did, you wouldn't make such asinine posts.

Go ask Corey Ivy if Owens is over the hill.

He's in better shape this year than he was last year.

There is nothing wrong with owens. Theres plenty wrong with Romos passes.

Announcers in games today just dont seem to like take his side at the expense of a QB. But saturday night thurman thomas and deion took a stand and shed light on romo's poor passing. And thats been going on for some time. That along with the gameplanning.

On one particular play thomas was joking and said "i wonder if people are going to mark that as a attempted pass to owens", when the ball was overthrown badly into a crowded sideline when owens was wide open. U see too many of them kinds of passes from romo, not only to owens but to every other WR.

Then theres the issues with the gameplan. I dont care if some of you are trying to say Roy is hurt, blah, blah, blah. He didnt look hurt when he basically got in garretts face after he caught a first down. Im not going to speculate what was said but seems like garrett didnt like it too much.

This offensive gameplan eing put together is softer then the zone the defense plays. Ray lewis was calling out the play on several occasions. I dont see how dallas can have a wr come in of roys stature and not have any impact whatsoever. Roy is open alot, but either romo doesnt see him or whatever but its amazing they cant get him involved.

I dont think garrett is capable of handling a gameplan. Hes too predictable and outcoaches himself in simple situations like 4th and 1 calling lateral pass. or like in the pitt game 4th and 1, motion choice out of the backfield, and hand off to anderson? when hes basically up against romo going into a pile with no momentum. stupid playcalling is whats costing dallas. I hope garrett isnt in dallas next yr.
