Myles Garrett is just superhuman. Not a comparison. Also didn't participate in any agility drills so can't compare there.
3 cone
Taco - 7.17
Takk - 7.48
Harris - 4.47
20 yard Shuttle
Taco - 4.39
Takk - 4.62
Harris - 4.42
Taco seems to be the anti Demarcus Ware. Ware had power but his biggest asset was speed and agility.
Tacos game seems to be pure power. That seems to be similar to how the Seahawks approach the DL.
I really expect Taco to be moved to the left DE because of his speed limitations. That doesn't mean he can't be a good end, just not an elite end with speed
Jerry the GM says they drafted him to play right end. If they really believe this does it indicate a departure from what they have previously looked for in a DE?
This. For a dude his size/weight, he's extremely agile and fluid in his movement. He's not some lumbering strong-side defensive end. He has suddenness, and a very nice spin move.
With Takk, you line him up wider to take advantage of his speed like a LEO.
I'm pretty sure that 4 should be a 7 on Harris' 3 cone time.Myles Garrett is just superhuman. Not a comparison. Also didn't participate in any agility drills so can't compare there.

No problem. If that had been the correct time, someone would have drafted the Flash!!!!!! LOLThat would be correct. Thanks for the typo catch. It has been fixed.
I read that no passer rusher in the nation got to the QB more regularly than Taco on sacks of 2.5 seconds or less.Taco seems to be the anti Demarcus Ware. Ware had power but his biggest asset was speed and agility.

I think far too many on here are wrong when they say Taco doesn't have the speed/quickness to play RDE. As has been stated over and over, 40 time isn't very relevant. All of his other combine numbers are at the top for the DEs. He's got sufficient quickness AND the power and size to bull rush, edge rush, and play the run. I'm extremely happy with the pick.

Taco 1.63 (Pro Day)10 yard split
Miles Garrett - 1.63
Takk - 1.60
Taco - 1.70
Taco 1.63 (Pro Day)
You don't just "line 1 player up wider". The scheme is designed with specific alignments for the DL. They do vary them during a game, but that based on the defensive play call, not on the player.
Pro Days are 1 shot like the combine. You need speed to play the LEO well, but Taco running the same 10 yard split as Garrett is nice.
Do Pro Day performances offer multiple shots or same as combine?
Pro Days are 1 shot like the combine.
Marinelli's defense does not really use a "Leo".
If you wanted to draft a DE for his pure speed and athleticism, it would not be Takk McKinley. Rivers or Watt would be much better in measured speed/athleticism.
I don't think it is a global change to the "planet theory" or something.Taco seems to be the anti Demarcus Ware. Ware had power but his biggest asset was speed and agility.

Joey Bosa ran a 4.86 40 dash.
Taco and D Ware are not at all the same type of player, Ware was an OLB converted to DE who still dropped into coverage and played plenty as a 3-4 OLB.
The QB is 3-7 yards beyond the LOS. 40 times don't mean much..
I don't think Dallas cares about speed vs power, look at Gregory he's all speed.
