Is the Vikings/Cowboys game the "Default" NFC Championship Game?

I think a good case could be made that the winner of the Vikings/Cowboys game will go on to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.

I believe the Vikings and Cowboys are the most physical football teams left in the NFC.

The Cardinals and Saints are throwing and both the Vikings and Cowboys have strong personnel to get after the passer.

Thoughts?

I believe this could be the case. If we end up wih Cowboys Saints then maybe not.

But it does remind me of the early 90's. The Cowboys 49ers were the SB 3 times and the Cowboys Packers was the SB one time. So I hear what you are saying.

Until last weekend I thought Green Bay was included in the most physical conversation.

I'm not so sure the Vikings can beat New Orleans, so I'd say not necessarily. Cardinals already beat the Vikings, even though that was in their home park. However the Cowboys and Vikings do have the better defense and running game, and they always say that's what it takes to win a championship.

I would not call this weeks game the NFC Championship, ARIZ or NO would come to play... Need to just take one game at a time

Arizona and NO are just as scary to me as the Vikings. I think NO is more scary than the Vikings to me if they are playing on all cylinders.

Arizona is extremely scary to me.

Also, we beat the Saints, so they could work to our disadvantage if we play them again.

Exactly, and that's why I don't think it's the default game. People continue to underestimate the Cards, and I don't know why. I guess because they were bad for so long, and no one cares about the NFC West. But they are the defending NFC champs, and Warner is playing as well as ever.

No. After we beat them we're still going to have a dangerous team to face that will badly want to go to the Superbowl.

This is a big game. Huge.

Next weekend will be even bigger.

And of course 2 weeks later it doesn't get any bigger.

I think the Cards are the worst matchup for us IMO. Thank goodness we will have them at home as I think we and they both win this weekend.

How did that logic work for the eagles last week?

I believe we sufficiently put that nonsense to bed.

Minnesota is not as good a team as the Saints.

We're going to the SB, unless the Saints knock us off next week. Vikings and Cards in Arlington aren't capable.

Or easier!

If we play three more games, and I'm guessing we do, they will be progressively more difficult.

Saints tougher than Vikes and the AFC Champ in Miami tougher than the Saints.
