I believe last April Carr agreed to renegotiate his contract and took a pay cut, different from a restructure. Also, looks like this is the last year on his 5 year deal that originated in 2012.Just curious. I recall they restructured his contract but wasn't sure of the longer term ramifications.
Seeing Carr and Heath on the same side terrifies me. I don't know why teams don't throw to that side every down.
I have long been a Carr hater, but I have to admit, I'm starting to change my tune. I don't think he's great or anything, but he's been solid at least. I wouldn't mind keeping him if we can work out a fair deal.

He is a free agent. It shows 2017 as his final year but that was a dummy (voidable) year.Just curious. I recall they restructured his contract but wasn't sure of the longer term ramifications.

The receiver made a great play. Carr made a good play and the receiver made a better one. Some of you are impossible.Did you like when he gifted the Bucs a touchdown by trying for an interception and bobbling the ball into a Bucs receiver's hands instead of just knocking it down and forcing them to punt?

On that play that Winston missed, looks to me like he had help over the top and Jones got there too late.He wasn't too solid last night.
In fact, he almost cost us late again. Go back and watch the pass that Winston overthrew Evans on the 2nd to last drive for Tampa. Carr had deep responsibility and yet he bit on the WR running a short route WHO WAS ALREADY COVERED. Evans streaked past him and Winston airmailed him.
I want no part of Carr anymore. I've seen enough.

I think people hate Carr because of a reputation he built 2-3 years ago, and it has stuck.
Sure, he's not Deion or Revis, but he is solid. And reliable.
He tried to make a play on the ball last night, and an unlucky bounce landed right in the offensive player's hands. Oh well.
And there were a lot of guys on here criticizing him for trying to get the INT rather than just bat the ball down. How ridiculous is that? If he HAD knocked it down without trying to catch it, they would have complained then, also.
I'm not a huge fan of Brandon Carr. But he's good value for the money he's now making. No reason to run him off.
