that is kept for negative yardage running plays??

It seems to me that we have more than any other team I've seen.

This O-Line needs to be upgraded.

STATS Inc. keeps track of "stuffs" (runs for negative yardage). Going into today's game, we had the 11th-lowest (11th best) percentage of stuffs, only 11.5 percent. The four worst teams were St. Louis (19.2), Arizona (18.9), Minnesota (17.2) and -- surprisingly -- Seattle (15.9).

So we're actually better than average at not getting stuffed in the running game.

I would guess that we were far worse last year.

We have a backup LT and a rookie 6th round pick at RT playing. What do you expect?

When it's a guy with a # in the 50's on his back coming unblocked it's not on the OL.

Really? So who's responsible for blocking LBs, the tooth fairy?

Well guy, sometimes it's no one's responsibility because they bring more than we have in to block.

There's something called a run blitzwhich BP has said he's seeing more vs us than he has seen at any time in his past.

5 or 6 to block 7-8 usually doesn't work out too well.

When Philly brought Trotter, Adams, and the CB from one side who was responsible for Trotter?

Next question.

I fully understand the reasons.

I said that it "seems" to me...and I wanted to know if there was a way to check the stat.

By the way, the back up left tackle isn't the issue. He's done fairly well. And fyi, I had the same concern early in the year. The running game wasn't good when Flo was there either.

These monkeys honestly think AJ, LA, or Rivera is supposed to let Wilkerson or Rogers run free to pick-up Wali Rainer.

Well, one of the problems is that we have our own guy in the 50's at center who spends alot of time being knocked into the backfield.

I would go on to my "next question" only you were completely wrong answering the first question.

And by the way, I'm pretty sure the original poster was referring to the Lions game, not the Eagles game. And the Lions kept their safeties back pretty much all game and I don't remember a single CB blitz.

But hey, no one is responsible for blocking the LBs. Someone needs to tell the opposing teams' offenses to stay away from Ware, Dat, Shanle, James, and Fujita cuz they aren't supposed to get blocked.

Knock knock this. I didn't say you expected anything. I asked you "What do you expect?"

Maybe you should read that book yourself, Bucko.

And speaking of that backup LT, rewatch the Lions game. He didn't play that well.

If that's not referencing the whole season I don't know what is.

Of course it was all on AJ.

And then Gurode came in and promplty sat back down.

He really showed Rogers/Wilkerson a thing or two.

I'm still wondering who is responsible for LBs. Maybe it's the kicker.

Hey! That's why we signed Cundiff!

Silly me....when I ask someone what they expect it's usually because I'm thinking they expect something.

Again, I'll state it. I asked if there was a stat for negative plays...not for TODAY when the back up LT was playing...but for the season...as in, even when Adams was playing.

Whatever...Hello wall.

...get? We have been seeing eight men in the box or a greater number of run blitzes. Isn't this where Witten or Key underneath is suppose to back off the LBs?

If Parcells is seeing this then we have to find ways of going over the top of the blitz into the vacated zones.
