I have done quite a bit of thinking about this since Sat night. I didn't look at stats or records and I am just going on memory so bear with me if I am not exactly right, stat wise. First I can not say how happy I am as a Cowboys fan right now and this week has been a week of holding my head high even though I am in the middle of an OSHA inspection. It has been a long time coming as fans of this team since we have had that opportunity this time of year. My question is, is this team the team of 91 or the team of 92 which is being suggested frequently here. For the life of me I thought the team in 91 was one and done in 91 but were clearly a team that was almost there. Without question I BELIEVE this team is playing the best right now of the remaining 8 teams but Minn is going to be a very tough place to go in there and play at a high level...yes I know we just did against the Saints but that team was and is a little overrated. I don't know if it is because they are going on the road but a part of me feels 91 then I start to anaylize things and I think 92, which that team had to go on the road to go to the SB so it is possible for this team. Is this team almost there missing a piece or have they arrived. I'm split in half here. I have not heard any players talk this week which may be why I am feeling the way I am. I just don't want this season to be over and I dont want to see a team that feels the war is over after one battle. Either way I can not wait for Sunday and feel confident just not as confident as last week. I will say I do like the fact chilly is asking reid for advice...

Yeah, I don't think you can make a comparison. The '92 team was run first with Emmitt, and pass (usually 10 yard routes or so) just to keep them from focusing so much on Emmitt.

2010's team is built more on the pass first, with a heavy emphasis on the big play... though a lot of those big plays have really just been 10-15 yard patterns that Miles breaks free, breaks a couple tackles, and takes it to the house.

I think what you're really asking here is does this team have what it takes to get to the Super Bowl, and more importantly, WIN the Super Bowl. I think the answer to that is a yes.

Sure, we have to go on the road to Minnesota, and possibly back to New Orleans. But the important thing here is... both are indoors! If we had to go to Green Bay or New York, maybe even Philly, I'd be more concerned.

I like that angle I don't think I was trying to compare the teams more so compare were this team is at as a team on the brink such as 91 or poised for the highest success such as 92..
