For Miami but not for the Cowboys. You are giving up two starters and #1 for #1 overall, that is a horrible trade idea.

Acceptable strictly in terms of draft value? No for Dolphins, Yes for us.
Acceptable in terms of compensation? No, because we're not getting rid of Barber.

There's just too much running back talent in this draft to gamble on McFadden.

It would be different if there were no premiere runners. But that's not the case.

I'm kind of glad Cleveland did better than we thought. Now, we can take a running back for less money, keep Barber and get another premiere player at another position.

It all worked out.

Good take on the situation. I have to agree with you. McF certainly had some great games/seasons in college, but so did a lot of other running backs, and if Barber gets the big bucks, then a high value/low dollar rookie running back spelling him will be important. Also, a late round running back or free agent needs to be brought in to replace Thompson.

first of all let me be clear, that i do not want to trade up for D-Mac. when i say this i mean all the way up to #1 in the draft.

ok as far as the trade is concerned, We all know BP is gonna wanna trade out of the #1 pick, so if he offers their #1 for our #22, Barber with Spears OR Canty. is that an acceptable deal?
i would be cool if we traded #22,barber, and spears for dmac. canty is starting to turn in to a very good DE so i don't want him going anywhere.

That deal is so far from acceptable that it isn't even funny. Dallas would be foolish to include Barber or Canty in a trade package. Spears would be alright it the team that wanted him offered more then he is worth but unlikely.

I gotta hand it to you though. One of the more awful trades yet.

all the "roy williams for roy williams" trades are at the top of my list of awful ideas i wish would die out and people only say it because of the name connection and they like to see their name on the internet.

A reasonable trade would be for us to trade one of our 1st rounders for a low 2nd this year and a 1st next year.
Couldn't have said it better myself...

i used a Nomad 212 for years but I recently went and got a trip rectifier. If I had the extra ducats, i would love to have an orange if for nothing else than they look cool but i cant justify throwing over 1.5k on a toy at this point.

Now that I'm a grown up with a family, I have toys instead nice equipment. Fender Squire and a small Crate GLX (30w) Got them both with shipping on eBay for about $180 total. :laugh2:

Dude if your going cheap then just get a Yamaha Pacifica. The bridge humbucker will probably buzz but thats nothing $50 wont fix.

I'm not that cheap. I just happen to be a Fender guy, so I bought the Fender cheapy. (almost the exact same guitar as my first one back in the 80s minus the pick-guard and rosewood fret-board)
