Agree. Murray ran a 4.37 at his Pro Day, but never looked that fast.

I know Dez didn't really prepare for the combine and even had to borrow a pair of shoes because he forget to bring his.

Randle seems like a guy that probably wouldn't know to prepare on his own either; whereas, Murray seems like a guy that would have gone all out to prepare.

That shows how useless 40 times are IMO. Randle plays a lot faster than Murray, so who cares what they do on a track wearing spandex shorts?

If Gus puts on a reasonably impressive performance in the upcoming preseason games, it's a sure bet he'll catch on like wildfire in the hearts and minds of C'boys fans everywhere. For what it's worth, to his credit, Gus has been upgraded on the team's depth charts as being ahead of Seasrunk now as well. He's definitely moving up, folks.

Is there some sort of consensus on how guys are timed at their pro days? I wouldn't trust the school timing the players, and I am not sure if each team scout had their own clock or not. They might not have timed Murray at 4.37 which is blazing.

Murrany ran a 4.37? I never knew that. On game day he looked like he ran a 4.77. Guy was a good back last year but if he would have had more speed, well only what could have been

Injuries to his lower body....and his workload...affected his speed

Randle looked faster last year than he did as a rookie. He likely made a huge change in his conditioning - working with Woicik.

he's the one guy who brings something different (power). seastrunk has to beat out dunbar, and i don't see that happening. but if johnson can block the blitz and move the pile on short yardage, he may convince the staff to keep him in case one of our three other backs, whose game is about speed and agility, goes down or can't protect romo.

Pretty sure Murray's combine 40 was a 4.41. Don't ask me what happened to the guy, he was a 4.3 guy in OU and after injuries he transformed into a power back. I remember the first thing I said after his 90 yard or whatever run against the Rams was "He isn't really fast".

Yeah, he's a tank.

That's all I could tell from the scrimmage but he looks like a load to bring down.

Can't wait for some pre-season.
