Other than the OL, the draft has been average to below average at best.

They Drafted (starters) DEZ, Murray, Lawrence, Lee, TWlll, Smith, Frederick, Martin, Witten, Carter, Crawford, and many others....don't sell this team short, look around and don't be so short sided....this team has been doing better in the last few years....than most NFL franchises....especially when other NFL teams just spent over $70 Million to sign Cowboys backups and Special Teamers...(except Murray) You want to win the offseason, or win a SuperBowl....

So,last years 4th in Hitchens wasn't even average, according to you he was horrible. You may be one of only a few that would say this.
You are way off base here.
As I said, need a good 3 years to truly evaluate a draft class.
Last years Street, drafted not to make an impact, but can contribute in the near future.
As I said, not all can be stars right away. If you can't see this, then you will never be happy or satisfied with anything this team does.

Actually, I enjoyed every single one of them. We were in contention for 17 weeks, and it was obvious to me we were headed in the right direction. Because, you know, we were drafting well.

You gain players - you lose players. Everybody does.

And the draft is not even here.

Teams with noisy off-seasons include Commanders, (Eagles this year???) Jets, Browns, Raiders....I don't think they are a good example to follow.

If you list the elite teams, they are not making that much noise.

they need to draft well in all RDs ,they had 4 7th rders last year and nothing to show for it so far.we cant select the caleb Mcsurdy's of the world,they need to put in more effort and take more risk later on.

There is a legitimate theory the team, meaning the FO, have discovered they won't reap a major windfall by reaching or winning the Super Bowl because of the cost. At some point the bean counters will make the case a successful franchise is about bottom line and not trophies.

To operate like this you have to win in the draft. Not so sure the Cowboys are capable of it, but the Cowboys actually get a lot of compensatory picks anyway.

PTR, I know your a knowledgeable football guy so I'll just say on your statement that' your not sure the
Cowboys are capable of good drafting' I completely disagree !. Have you been looking at the last few years of the Cowboys drafting under the new regime. I know you have so ....what's up with that.

Well, it's hard not to see that they've gotten better at drafting recently, and the coaching hires have been good, but I'm not ready to say they're actually good at it and can build a team doing it. It's taken them many years to finally build a decent OL and they had to do it with first rounders. Add to that the fact that they couldn't build or maintain a decent defense simultaneously and you have to seriously question if they are "winning" in the draft.

Is the arrow pointing up? Yes.
Is the front office capable of building a complete team through the draft? I don't know about that, show me!
