Other than the OL, the draft has been average to below average at best.

Outside of what they did well, they didn't do anything well.

Murray and Harris are gone but they were good draft picks. Dez is top 5 in his position. If Crawford continues to progress, he is going to the pro bowl especially in this market. Hanna has been a solid contributor. Williams and Wilcox have been solid starters with room to grow. Hitchens and Lawrence bit as puppies.

If anything we have drafted too well because we cannot keep all these guys. That is what happens when you consistently get hits outside of the top 50 picks in the draft.

To operate like this you have to win in the draft. Not so sure the Cowboys are capable of it, but the Cowboys actually get a lot of compensatory picks anyway.

What makes you think that? Dallas has done very well in the draft the last five years. Even the 2012 draft where the Cowboys moved up to get Morris Claiborne, they still got decent production from other draftees.

Dallas has hit very well on the 1st rounders the last five years. The run of Bryant, T. Smith, Claiborne, Frederick, and Martin has been the best 1st round run since the late 80s/early 90s where you had Irvin, Aikman, E. Smith, Maryland/Harper, and K. Smith.

I would not give up on Claiborne quite yet. Let's see how well he does if the Cowboys could ever get a pass rush.

they need to draft well in all RDs ,they had 4 7th rders last year and nothing to show for it so far.we cant select the caleb Mcsurdy's of the world, they need to put in more effort and take more risk later on.

I am not as worried as I was about Romo retiring. As long as this team has a good offensive line, a new, young QB can come and drive the ship. He won't be Romo at first, but all we need is a capable one.

Ok look at it :
2014: 4,5,6,7 horrible.
2013: 2,4,5,6 horrible
2012: 1,3,4,5,6,7 horrible
2011: 3,5,6,,7 horrible
2010: 3,4,5,6,7 horrible

These aren't even the average picks. These are the horrible ones. We average one good pick a year. That's not how you get the job done!!! That's how you have one good season every ten years. I expect way more!!!

2013 draft was a great draft. I don't know what your talking about. When you have a starting center, starting 2nd receiver, and a starting safety plus a backup RB in one draft, thats success.

SO you like getting rid of murray and adding McFadden!! Yeah ok.

Yeah, it is OKAY! Dallas is going to get a darn good running back in the draft to team up with McFadden and they will still pound the rock. With Ray Agnew as the lead blocker now with that offensive line, McFadden and company will run it right down their throats.

Add to the fact that Marinelli's defense will be better, I see the Cowboys running away with this division.

AGAIN I SAY HOW LONG DO YOU THINK ROMO HAS LEFT...HONESTLY!!!! YOU WIN WHEN YOU CAN!!!! I am sick and tired of reading about how people are putting a GOOD SPIN on what happened..PLEASE ENOUGH!!! And how we treated murray..do you really think DEZ is going to sign long term??? I am just sick and tired of saying WHAT IF THIS HAPPENS!!!

OH, and I see we are back to predicting another 8-8 season are we?

Hey Manster...and I like what projects with McFadden, Williams, the new fullback and a bright shiny new drafted top running back. That certainly does the trick for this fan.

A success for 8-8 type seasons. The Beard was great!!! T-Will good, but that's it.. JJ is debatable I guess. I'd replace him in a heartbeat if we could.

That should be McFadden, Williams, the new fullback, a bright shiny new running back, and the future cap space that you have for not re-signing Murray,

And you think these great running backs are going to fall to DALLAS....

Yeah, I'm tired of hearing about 'building through the draft'. You don't SOLELY build through the draft. You draft well, retain your key players and then build around those key players. You don't win by letting all of your best talent go every year. If McClain is gone, this is a COMPLETELY different team than the one that we just won with, and by most measures, we've downgraded at most positions. Developing talent and letting it walk to other teams while you fill all your spots with rookies is no better than Big Daddy Warbucks Jerry Jones giving out massive contracts.
