Is your confidence growing or shrinking for the game?

It is growing for me. I felt good about the game ever since the shutout but today even more so. This game is huge and I am confident the team will come out swinging. The D is going to lay the wood AGAIN. I expect the JG to call another great game and Romo and company to control the clock and get a strong win. The score may not reflect it but the Eagles will be a beat team and head into the offseason wondered what happened.

For me its about the same. I'm confident that we'll win, and it will either be a large blowout, or a close one, and nothing inbetween.

It will be a bit closer and more competitive but we should finally get the playoff win monkey off our backs on Saturday night.

No more Jim Johnson (or miracles) in Philly. RIP Coach Johnson, you were the man.

My confidence is growing, because i dont take much stock in trends like the playoff losses or cant do it three times or win in december having any effect on this game or any other game. You play to win the game, if you plan, perfect and perform anyone can win on any given day, trend or no trend. But 6 days, a shutout, homefield and the fact that our qb has more CONFIDENCE then ever in his career leads me to believe that we will handle our buisness, exorcise some more demons and make a run at this thing.

We will win but if we don't, we must go out swinging. If we have to take some cheap shots, oh well.

Growing each and every time a mediot comes out and proclaims the Eagles will win.

most recently, Sean Salisbury was on 870AM WWL in New Orleans, and stated that he's picking the Eagles to win.

...also growing because the Eagles keep spewing trash talk, which further cements the fact that they are in denial.

I'm not sure.....I'm not fearful of the Eagles...as in years past.

But I'm not overly confident we'll win.

The Eagles thrive on these types of situations. We tend to come up short.

We're a more talented team.....but that doesn't always play out.

LOL It has been a while since I have seen Salisbury's name. Seemed like the dude dropped off the planet.

The Eagles do seem to be talking a lot.

I agree that seems like an act of false bravado.

Our guys seem to be very matter-of-fact.....quietly confident. They're saying things the right way.

I don't think the situation will be too big for us.

I've been pretty confident all along. Our team will win if we don't turn the ball over and if we keep Romo upright and in the game.

PHI just doesn't matchup well with us right now. We get pressure and cover well on defense, and our offense is well balanced and our QB is too smart and manages games too well. And we can take advantage of the middle of that defense. Our ST are really good, too.

Honestly, short of creating havoc I don't think they can create and scoring points on defense, I'm not sure I see a way for Philly to win the game. I don't think we'll see a 38-35 type shootout again this year.

It's been growing in part because of how the two teams have publicly handled the "pressure" of this game.

Maybe I'm looking at things through a homer's eyes, but the Eagles seem to be resorting to childish tactics to a) mess with our heads; and b) defer the criticism being thrown their way. McNabb floored me when the main reason he listed for Philly having a chance in this game is Dallas being overconfident. If that's what he's banking on, they're in trouble.

Conversely, I really like the way our players have handled their taunts. You can tell our players are hearing them and feel disrespected, which I like. I never like it when a team's taunts go unnoticed in the other locker room. But there's a business-like approach to our disdain. Instead of flinging poop back at the Eagles, it's as if our guys are giving the media a chuckle under their breath and saying, "We'll see Saturday."

Very Patriots-like in their heyday, IMO.

I did too! But apparently he works for some station in Dallas, and the host was asking him about his opinion of the Dallas Cowboys. He had all good things to say, but...

"The Eagles failed to connect on some key passes, and don't look for that happening again. They will win the game."

So, didn't the Cowboys also fail to convert in key situations on some drives? What about a tipped INT that killed a drive, a missed FG, a throw that should have been connected with Ogletree?

If we executed to perfection, and the Eagles offense did also, the score might have been 41 to 21 with a Cowboys victory.

You're forgetting the Eagles didn't try. :laugh1:

Growing. This team seems to play well in big games, especially against NO and Philly.

I believe they like playing for Wade and know his job maybe on the line.

Philly came down and got a major league spanking. They can use all these excuses, but their confidence has to be shaken.

Rainman, digging the sig! It would be PERFECT if the Eagles DL was in the picture though.
