Isaac Bruce, hall of famer?

Since we've been debating Key's HOF credentials, I thought I'd pose this question about one of my favourite non-Cowboys: Does Isaac Bruce deserve to be in the HOF? I'd say yes. He has the ring; was an integral part of one of the most dominant offenses of our time, had a monstrous year in 1995 (second most yardage ever in a season, I believe- should dispel any notion that he's a product of a good season), continues to perform at a high level late in his career. So what do you think?

I think yes, but I think it will take him several years to get in. Receivers are generally put on hold when it come to the HOF. Rice will get in first ballot and probably Tim Brown as well, but after that, they will push every other receiver back. Irvin was pushed back. It will depend on who else is on the ballot during his eligible years.

You're probably right but I really don't think Tim Brown deserves to be first ballot HOFer ahead of guys like Bruce and Irvin.

I don't think Brown is better than either guy. He was very good and had a long career that left him #3 in receptions and #2 in yards all time. That seems to matter to Hall of Fame voters. I think Irvin ends up with better numbers than Brown if he didn't get injured, but that is just the case. I don't know how long Bruce is going to keep playing. He probably has a few good seasons in him.
