Isn't Moore still practice squad eligible?

Why would anyone want him on the practice squad?

He has no upside and cannot make our defense better by playing against him.

You'll have to talk to the FO and Coaches as they seem to see him as a viable backup.

We don't know what they may choose to do. Right now Rush just needs to continue to go out and perform as he has if he does that then I think he will have a very good chance to get a spot on the roster and possibly a backup role. Coaches and organization looked for someone to take over Romo spot who had more experience but as Dak continued to show his abilities the coaches and organization got behind him and he now is the starter. Thus far the only person I have heard saying Moore is a lock for the backup spot has been Babe

Also its one thing to make fan comments and its another to bet your job on how a rookie will perform. Brandon Weeden looked great in practice and in preseason, but when the pressure was on he folded. He went into checkdown mode/fetal position when it counted.

We know Moore won't do that. We hope Rush won't, but we don't know for sure.

I believe you have to play in 6 games to be ineligible for the practice squad. If Kellen Moore is still eligible I think Dallas should cut him and put him on the practice squad and keep Rush. I don't think anyone would pick up Kellen on waivers if he is cut.

That would make the most sense then. I'm nearly 100 percent certain Cooper Rush could not clear waivers to be stashed on the practice squad. He gives the team a better chance to win than Moore anyway.
