Cowboys won in all these phases last week, they need to do the same to continue with Cooper Rush at QB:

-Offense for the most part really struggled last week, outside 1 TD scoring drive. However, they were efficient, scored 20 points, no penalties, just 1 turnover. Cannot have too many 3 and outs either as it will tire out our defense. Just manage the game and don't beat yourselves.

-Defense was fantastic last week, until late in the game wear it showed they played too many snaps due to the offense stalling in the 2nd half. This unit lead the league in turnovers last season, I believe they just have 1 thus far. Understandable playing top QB's, but that won't be the case this week. Must avoid those penalties that extend drives.

-Turpin must be a factor this week to flip field position as it might be one of those low scoring, grind it out games. Maher has to continue to be reliable with his kicks.

Need this running attack to be 2 headed and efficient with the passing game sprinkled in where appropriate. The defense has to keep Saquon and Jones bottled up and keep Toney's catch ratio down to a minimum.

I hope this is the lesson the Cowboys take out of all of this. It is Team, guys can't be standing around waiting for someone else to make a play, we need guys out there looking to make the plays, when the play is not going to you that player must stay involved in that play getting down field to hopefully make a block or flying to the ball to make the tackle not assume someone else will make it. It is TEAMS that win always has been. So often the difference between a 5 yard gain and taking it to the house is that 1 block that springs a play open. Every player on offense or defense has a job to do on every single play there are no plays that require you to stand around. Guys need to stay focused and take care of their assigned task every down.

Same ole blueprint, ole song and tune.

OFFENSE:

- Bus-manage the game with no self-killing mistakes,…. no turnovers, no killer penalties.
Let NYG prove they can flat beat us … without/instead of us beating ourselves.

- Not only just run the ball, and staying with the run, but well-scheme/design the run, and involve RBs in pass game. (a Kellen weakness but for another day)

- Rather see Lamb get the ball in the flow of the game, than forcing it to him. Gallup only for a certain set of snaps in return.

- Counting on Cooper rush setting up quickly/getting the ball out quickly.
Expect roll outs, TE drags, quick slants and shallow routes.

- Cowboys on the road, so we’ll have to deal with hostile crowd noise (as Rush did vs Vikes) ..stay attention to that.

SPECIAL TEAMS

- NYG one of the worst teams in covering punts in first two weeks of the NFL, ….. Turpin time ..!! - Look for him to hit one big in this game.

- Hope Maurer stays consistent, as has been the coverage teams.

DEFENSE

- Top QBs has nuthin to do with lack of turnovers, imo. Burrows had 4 INTs in week 1 vs Steelers. We have legit ball hawks so only matter of time.
Daniels has long been reputed as a turnover type QB, NYG interior OL is horrible, and Daniel will hold ball too long.
Stop the Barkley run game and get Daniel is as many long yard pass downs as possible, and prevent him from taking off up the middle (ala Burrows)

- Same with Bucs, Cincy.. cannot keep this defense on the field so long. We don’t have that kind of defense.
And vs Barkley, I’m not yet sold on this run defense.

- Don’t be surprised if Barr eventually starts over LVE as he learns the scheme- Despite his age, Barr seems more physical in shedding blocks and maybe more instinctive than LVE.
He doesn’t seem easily fooled and influenced by misdirection as LVE

- I’m not as worried about Sheppard and Holiday is in new coaches’ doghouse. Toney my only concern among WRs.

COACHES
Kellen Moore, Quinn, Philbin, ...game management, flag challenges, when to go for it ..at where at on the field,... goal line decisions,.... Kellen's in game adjustments
Quinn's scheme to stop Barkley and Daniels, ..keeping team focus and encouraged and adjusted when things get down, sloppy, and panicky. etc.

-Please no more outside pitches to Zeke.
-Blitz Pickup paramount
-Take some deep shots to keep them honest
-Quinn has played more cover 2 and hasn't blitzed much this yr. Will that continue?
-Don't think they will start with that 3 safety alignment, where Lve, Barr and Parsons will be the starting linebackers
-Could be that breakout game for Turpin
