Zimmer's coaching kept us in this game. Giving up yards is gonna happen and we forced some TO's. Zimmer is coaching this young defense really well.
I blame the recent lack of a running game not to injuries or players but to the coach Sparano. Sparano is coaching our Olineman to reach around defenders to get a seal between themselves and the defender. We arent attacking head up, mono a mono like last year. Sparano's coaching is better suited for teams like Denver and Atlanta (both of whom I really respect) but not our brawlers. We need a coach like Hudson Houck or the guy in Pittsburgh. We can dominate at the POA with LA and Flo but we cant zone block for ****.
Im all up for a GROS sig if someone wants to make it for me.
MBIII and Julius ran behind lines that had big maulers and were really impressive. Just look at Julius last year. We would run a draw and not rely on the lead blocker or pulling OG, we would just let him read the blocks and make a cut. This year he has been forced to hit the hole exactly where it is supposed to be per BP. This is turning into a similar situation like Clinton Portis switching from the Broncos blocking scheme to the Commanders'. We need to change this philosophy soon IMO or else the SB shouldnt be in our expectations.
