Stephen Jones says they really like McClain as the BACKUP tackle for both spots. I'm just gonna leave this link here and

Remember those days when each offseason, it was a foregone conclusion that Hayden would easily be pushed off the roster by the end of training camp?

You notice that no one makes such predictions these days? No point in fantasizing about that anymore since we all know he's not going anywhere, unfortunately.

Cant have everything..the 1 tech is prob the least important position in marinellis defense. Resources arnt going to be heavily poured there and thats fine.

The scheme is to have a 3tech star and superstar edge rushers with 7 in coverage.

No, it's just speculation on the authors and your part. Stephen does not even mention Hayden, click bait title to drum up clicks and controversy.

Don't know why at this point anyone would think Hayden isn't the starter. Dallas has shown that it really likes him, plus with the rotation the team uses, I'm not sure it matters all that much who starts. It's up to the other guys playing the 1 to show that they deserve more playing time than Hayden.

Click bait? I'm not being paid for clicks so clicks don't matter. Hayden's been the starter, Whaley has never started a game, Brent retired, Bishop is unknown still, and he specifically said they like McClain in a backup role.

Your title was a click bait style title, sensationalized. Stephen did not mention Hayden whatsoever, only that McClain is a backup at this point. Hayden may very well be the starter, but there is a ton of time between today and the start of the season with many prospects looking for playing time.

I think Waley and Bishop are gonna step up and be a part of the DT rotation. It's definitely our weakest position but I think those guys along with Hayden and McClain will be serviceable enough for it not to be an issue. But we need to get a DT at some point in the early rounds of next year's draft.

It's a long time between now and September 13.

Exactly.
There's no way Stephen would know before any OTAs, minicamp, camp, preseason games, etc.
He can know one thing regarding Hayden; that is whether or not he'll be starting g the first day of practice.
The OP is making stuff up

lol what did I say....

Hayden played so much last season because of injuries, not anything special he did on the field.

Dallas signed him to a one year deal as a stop gap and depth. There are many prospects, such as Whaley, looking for playing time and there are statements going around about how Dallas' DEs can even play inside. I would say that Hayden's playing time will be limited this year more than last, barring injuries

You are well aware that hayden plays the other DT spot right?

Bc it sure doesn't sound like you are
