Cant have everything..the 1 tech is prob the least important position in marinellis defense. Resources arnt going to be heavily poured there and thats fine.

The scheme is to have a 3tech star and superstar edge rushers with 7 in coverage.

Dallas has found a way to satisfy its 6 offensive-line starters: Loser gets to start at 1-tech.

Remember those days when each offseason, it was a foregone conclusion that Hayden would easily be pushed off the roster by the end of training camp?

You notice that no one makes such predictions these days? No point in fantasizing about that anymore since we all know he's not going anywhere, unfortunately.

Once Romo can't play QB anymore, I'm sure we will move him to DT and then we won't have a place for Hayden.

Stephen Jones says they really like McClain as the BACKUP tackle for both spots. I'm just gonna leave this link here and

http://cowboysblog.***BANNED-URL***...rence-ryan-russell-could-see-time-at-dt.html/

And this is somehow shocking?

What this should really tell you is how bad McClain is and yet how frightening it is that he is valued.

Let's see. Cannot beat out Hayden. But he is just so good he backs up two spots. Makes zero sense.

Hayden played so much last season because of injuries, not anything special he did on the field.

Wait, wasn't this the 2013 explanation?

You people need to understand this.

The same man who is hailed as a defensive genius continues to show incredible devotion to a player you all think is horrible.

How does that make you feel?

It would seriously be nit picky for me to hammer them about not getting a defensive tackle.

I consider myself a realist and the reality is the Cowboys front office absolutely killed it this offseason and we should all tip are cap to them.

People are forgetting that this dude is a Marinelli player from Chicago. Someone he can trust. And what i like most about him, Healthy.

It was the 2014 explanation, also. Marinelli likes and trusts Hayden because he is a high effort, high energy guy who most importantly stays healthy. It is not hard to see why Marinelli likes him and I can appreciate that, it doesn't mean I have to like the guy and not hope for a replacement.

Hayden is hanging around like a bad summer head cold. I keep hoping that medicine will cure the problem but it just lingers on and on. From the info I have read, he grades out as one of the worst at his position, but the team has made little effort to upgrade.

And Crawford plays the other, I am trying to figure out what you are trying to accomplish with this post.

Whaley's development has little to do with Hayden since Whaley is a 3T and Hayden is the 1T. Ken Bishop would have to take his spot or possibly McClain

This is the same team that shifted to a 3-4 and never made a concerted effort to find a legitimate NT for that defense.

They seem to have a fetish for being weak in the middle.

This effects everything. Obvious in the run game and without a push up the middle, QBs can step up to avoid the outside rush.

In pass rush situations they can put two 3Ts out there.

I don't think Hayden was ever a guy that played a ton of snaps in those situations unless we were hurting at the position. I also think more often than not we will see Crawford and a DE play the two inside position in passing situations.
