And only the first season as a full-time starter... even better.Mansta54;1914841 said:I couldn't agree with you more. We have a WINNER in Romo. The guy is gonna be awesome as he matures. He's confident, smart, mobile, and wants to win. People forget that it was just his 2nd season as a starter, he's done wonders already and he's only gonna get better.
Wasn't the 4 pt loss to one of those Mannings? like last week or something?YoMick;1914832 said:I think that you have to throw in how much we lost by with Romo.
1st playoff loss - 1 pt
2nd playoff loss - 4 pts
Its not like the Mannings when they get blown out of the playoffs and start throwing picks in the game that lead to routes.
Romo just needs a little more seasoning. He has the head for it... playing QB at a good to high level.
"Feels damn good, thanks for asking. How does it feel to lose in the first round?" BillYoMick;1914858 said:We are the Dallas Cowboys we will always get pressure.. whether its real or manufactured. The media is out of control.
We are NOT the New England "I cheat, take steroids, beat women, run up scores, cheap shot" Patriots.
The media took Denny's Green slogan "we let 'em off the hook"
I would really like the first question asked of Belicheck when he wins the SB to be....
So... how does it feel to get caught cheating, get fined for it, lose picks, win COY, then go undefeated and win the SB all in the same year??

I'd rather have Romo than Eli but to call out Eli after he beat us last week reeks of sour grapes and anyone that would rather be in our situation than to be undefeated and winning the Super Bowl is stupid or flat out lying no matter some silly coach recording which would be no big deal if we were caught doing it.Boysboy;1915109 said:To Eli's credit-in last year's WC Philly game, he actually played pretty well-lead them to 6 on their opening drive, then tied up the game with 5 min to go, before the Eagles drove down for the winning score.
He may be nothing more than a career bus driver, but give the guy credit, he's played pretty well in some of the biggest pressure situations recently, and has come up nicely.
Anyhow-back to the subject-I think we all need to CALM DOWN and take a deep breath. There's no reason to panic over this aching loss(nor to sugar coat it for that matter). It's still Jan, and we still have a WAYS to go before the FA period starts in March. And for that matter too, the draft is a LONG way off.
Let's wait until then before we all start to jump to any kinds of conclusions.

Much of our youth comes from guys who don't play at all or contribute little. Free, Marten, Stanback, Brown, Ball, Thompson, Carpenter, etc.
Some of our young "contributors" or backups really aren't so great -- look at the Hatcher, Watkins, Austin, Proctor, Berger. You can't tell me we'd not be better off with some solid 29-30 year old vets over most of these guys.

Based on facts.
I actually like the Patriots.... but I will continue to call them on this.
They are part of the "cheating" era in sports. Its the media's responsibility to put them where they belong.... if not now... then historically....
NOTHING is absolutely correct.. Here in Maryland, the monday after we loss, we were the topic and main focus of every sports talk radio show on the air. It was amazing!!! WTEM980 here in DC spent their entire day talking about us and it went on virtually all week long. That's just how HUGE the Boyz are, EVERYWHERE...ladiewolve;1915175 said:Yeah, its kinda sad huh? No matter how great of season they are having this year , that ugly cheating fact is following right behind Them.
Whats funny too me is here they are working on a posible perfect season , they have been caught cheating and have had other issues surrounding them i.e. steriods , hitting women, cheap shots while playing..etc..etc, and they still can't get as much air time or media attention as the DALLAS COWBOYS can. What can any nfl team do to be more popular than the boys?
Absolutely Nothing!
