Just think for the next 2 weeks, we can sit back and RELAX and enjoy the games. What a great feeling this is.

We can watch Zeke possibly make NFL history by getting 258 yards in 2 games.
Now if it looks as if he will not get the record, yes rest him. But start out the Detroit game as usual and see where he is to decide to run him for it, or to back off.

I want to win these last two games. But rest some players at the same time. I want the team to stay sharp.
Also this is the time for them to try a few new wrinkles. Not over do it, but try a few different blitzes, a few different plays on offense. Even go down field a few more times than usual to test a few things out.

But it is nice to relax for the next 2, actually 3 weeks.

this is true, but I don't think it will be very pretty either... for the cowboys.

In light of what happened last night and the fact that the lions are fighting for their playoff lives, I see a non-chalant cowboys team coming out and getting beat at home

I just assume Zeke get 258 on Monday night!!! :)

My preference would have been to clinch everything in front of the home fans Monday night.

But this works too.

Same here, the only thing I'm concerned about now is staying healthy and no injuries, the rest of the way.

Didn't I see somewhere that there's some scenario in which their fate might already be sealed by the time we play Monday night?

And... to the original post... speak for yourself... I'll be sitting there begging fate not to beat us down with a new key injury.

I see the exact opposite. I see a loose and relaxed Cowboys team the next 2 weeks that will play well. Garrett has never had a history of taking his foot off the gas.

I don't see that happening at all.

I think the plan should be to rest the players that really need it and to play to win the games. This also would be a great time to work on some of the things we are struggling with like traditional screen pass and certain blitz packages. I also think there are some runs we've not run quite as cleanly in the latter part of the season. Darren McFadden needs some work with the zone runs. Give him more carries.

This should be a time to throw in some wrinkles that will give our first opponent something to think about.

Personally I enjoy the tension. I love the roller coaster of emotions.

I yell and scream during our preseason games, so I'm sure it'll be business as usual for me.

Well, right now...what difference between now and this time last year.

This year, watching a somewhat meaningless game as far as playoff positioning goes, is much different that last year watching meaningless games other than for draft positioning.
This year, it is...I want to win, but if we don't, it could screw the Giants...LOL...but want to win on a positive roll going into the playoffs.
Last year it was....I want to win as I am a fan, but want to lose to get a better draft pick.

I think we all prefer this years scenario....I say that meaning there may be some that are miserable we are winning, so they can't whine....LOL....

@ Commanders and Colts game at home circa 2014 are encouraging, but this is a different team and for some reason I have a sinking feeling

Yeah, we really need to get our offense clicking again in the next two games. If we can do that, I'll like our chances for the Lombardi a lot more.

Also, it would be nice to come out of Philly without any casualties.

I think we need to drop the rookie rushing record thing. That should be so far down the list of priorities.

I can't relax. I want to win all games. ;)
