Looks exactly the same as Arrington and I saw it in another game this year. I hope it's not, Ellis is our best passrusher right now. Let's see how Carp does!

Confirmed it's an achilles, but don't know if it's torn yet or not.

Major blow. At the same time, major opportunity for Carpenter to do something. We'll see.

i dont think it hurts us against Indy because Ellis doesnt match up against them but man we are screwed after that game considering he was one of the few who could actually rush the passer and is a very good run defender, man this sucks!!!!!!!!

Yeah. Carpenter wont bring the type of presence Ellis does, but it would be a nice shot in the arm if Carpenter can fill in and prove worthy of a 1st round pick.

This is the worst, you cant even walk. I've torn mine and had surgery. Looks like he's done for the season. Carpenter needs to prove his worth.

Do you think it might be career ending for Ellis?

For Glenn, we have Crayton and Hurd to compensate.

For Ellis, we have... Carpenter? We are in trouble.

If that was an Achilles rupture, than Greg Ellis has an incredible pain threshold. I've seen players curled up in fetal position or pounding their fists into the turf or hugging themselves not to scream out in pain.

To Greg a QUICK, COMPLETE recovery...and hopefully it's some tweaking of the tendon, NOT a rupture.

Everybody is talking about Carpenter and its a big loss. Yes, we lose strength but we gain alot of speed. Also watch out for BP trying Burnett at that position. My prayers and best wishes go out to Ellis. Also maybe now you might see more blitz packages by our defensive coordinator. I think we will get force more turnovers now.

Is Carpenter really that much faster then Ellis?

i agree on both counts, but carpenter hasn't excited me thus far.

even when we win it's bad news.

Naw i wouldnt say that. I was in a cast for six weeks, but my leg looked like a toothpick. He's going to have to get flexibilty back into the leg, which means plenty of time in the whirlpool. The worst is when you wake up in the morning and its stiff. Didnt kevin smith have the same injury? He was never the same after that.

What a stud - the man is out on the sidelines on crutches.

Which is real good news - if it were a severe rupture, could he even do that?
