It's been many years since I felt confident about a Cowboys-Giants game

You do not rise to the level of your opponent - you sink to the level of your preparation.

The Cowboys will prepare, and win this game. It's an important one - first division game for Dallas.

Also, with 5 of the final 7 games on the road, they need to take advantage of this home slate, and pile up some more wins. Turn the stadium truly into the Death Star for their opponents.

i really thought that seattle would contain the run game, but they could'nt. and if they can't i don't see any team that can and if we can run the ball we can beat any team. the giants are a hot mess but they will play much better against us. but running the ball shortens the game and does'nt allow an offense to get going
thats really going to be imprtant against the eagles

They actually did for a while(at least Murray) and that would be where we would normally give up running and start chucking it. We didn't and eventually wore them down.

I don't like facing a Giants team coming off such an embarrassing loss.

Me neither.

But I do have more confidence in this staff preparing this team to keep going for the throat than I have had since our 13-3 season.

We give em the beating we should give them and I know we're 1 of the best 2 teams in the league because we're being consistent.

My biggest worry against the Giants is that they will play us dirty and work towards injuring an important player on this team.

I remember a couple of years ago when DeMarco was running all over him and then the style of tackle on his leg from the Giants is what ended his season and we just stunk right after that.

how we generally lose to the Giants-1)Eli has a crazy game and we cant get any meaningful pressure at all or we make critical mistakes on offense and cannot protect Romo well in the end.I dont see either happening on sunday.

I think the Giants will be hungry and looking to bounce back after an ugly loss, but they don't have anywhere near as good a team as we do, and they just lost their best player. If we show up ready to go, I can't see us losing.

The talent gap between the teams in the league these days is small and the games aren't played by robots. All teams have up and down weeks. Emotion absolutely plays a part in it. If I was a neutral observer I would see the trends pointing toward the Giants. Cowboys coming off an epic win, the Giants getting absolutely embarrassed at Philly on a national stage. The Giants are desperate. The Cowboys could be content.

It's not about who the better team is. If it was that simplistic, you wouldn't see teams like our own Cowboys from the 90's with 3 or 4 losses a season.

My hope is we overcome that and just continue to impose our will on the opponent. The team that played in Seattle smokes the Giants. Just takes their heart.

Agreed. Mindset has a lot to do with how you play.

I really hope the Giants trash talk this week. It will help refocus the team.

na they will just be looking to pick up a pay check. the Eagles were the first real test they faced to prove if their team was for real or not and they got embarrassed. i doubt the effort will be their and the team is about ready to quit on Coughlin and the rest of the coaching staff...anyways if the Cowboys keep the same approach, nameless opponents, than the gameplan that they have been executing for the past 5 weeks should work against the Giants and their weak LB corp.

If this wasn't a divisional rival, I'd say yeah, there's a chance of a trap game, especially after the national media hype the Cowboys will get now. But I think these two divisional games came at a perfect time. Alot of these guys hate the Giants, and will bring their A games Sunday.

I absolutely agree with you.

I again have confidence in this coaching staff to motivate this team and keep them playing at high emotion.

We hate the Giants and there's a lot of reason for us to want to bury them next week.
