He's the mvp of the defense this year.

barry is the closest thing to woodson we have had since woody retired..

same build , same height, same square up hits...he will be a keeper for years to come if he can stay healthy.

cant wait to see church and wilcox as the starting safeties once wilcox grows into his role
both have speed/range and both can hit
those 2 would be an intimidating force

I still laugh at the thread where people were upset we re-signed him for a 15 million dollar deal. lol

But I love Church's game. I'm not sure if he's fast speedwise but the guy is definitely quick to plays. He and Hatcher have been my biggest surprises and IMO the MVP's of this defense thus far.

I was just thinking about the rueing of the contract announcement too, haha. Definitely shouldn't have signed him to that contract!

Barry Church has bee a favorite of mine since his first couple of snaps. I was devastated about his injury lst year and I'm glad he made a full recovery.

He is killing it. To me, he has been the biggest bright spot on the entire team through two weeks. Many of his big stops come even when he is back in cover two. He just reacts so fast and flies to the ball it looks like he was at the LOS.

I think you're right about that. I wasn't sold on him but he looks like the real deal.

I think it's time to put in Wilcox at FS and let him go at it. Church and Wilcox could be our answer at safety and that would slow us to go after D line in next years draft
