Any team in the playoffs can beat Dallas. While Dallas has been good this year, they have not been dominating opponents for an entire game. In most of the wins, they either had a great quarter or two great quarters. In the playoffs, you really need 3 or more great quarters to win the game. That said, of all the NFC playoff teams, the only ones with winning road records are Atlanta and Dallas.

The bottom line is that good teams win games when it matters. If the Cowboys are worthy and capable of being Super Bowl champions, they should be able to beat any team they have to play leading toward that goal. Needing other teams to eliminate potential opponents would taint a Super Bowl win in my opinion. In fact, if the Cowboys were to win the Super Bowl but did not face the Giants again, the Giants would talk non-stop (because that's what they do) through the off-season, pre-season and next season about how the Cowboys are lucky they did not face them again or they would not have won that Super Bowl.

For me personally, win or lose, I hope the Cowboys play the Giants again. I will have no regrets if they lose because, as I said, good teams win games when it matters.
It's a myth you need 60 good minutes to win in the playoffs. They are just like any other games, wars of attrition and how you finish them out.

Giants have a pretty good record against the Packers in Lambeau. I dont think the Packers defense will be able to stop Eli unless Bad-Eli shows up.

I just hope we don't lose to the Packers. Never hear the end of it and how great Arog is.
Eli is what he is. Especially this year. He's very inconsistent.

GB is a different team right now than they were when we played them. They are the scariest team right now.

GB and ATL back to back is a real test for our secondary.

Rooting for Detroit and the Giants this week.

We are the #1 seed... teams should fear us. Not the other way around. Everything has led up to this-- and we either capitalize on the opportunity or choke.

For me-- it does not matter who we play-- we can and should be favored in any matchup. Our homefield advantage should be huge-- and we should be healthy and well rested.

Time to prove it when it matters most. Focus, discipline, execution, passion and a fighter's mentality all need to be on display for us to advance.

This team has the guts and grit to win the whole thing. Bring on the challenge:flagwave:

As Garrett said the Cowboys are the only team who can beat them. Players need to go in hungry and focused no matter who they play. Great thing for this team for 2 key players this is a clean slate there are no demons of playoff past for them.

My head tells me go Lions.

But............truthfully...........

I would like to see the Lions get blown out by the Seahawks.

And.

I would like to see the Giants get blown out by GB.

Then we beat GB. The Falcons beat the Seahawks.

Then we beat the Falcons in the NFCC.

Then we beat the Patriots in the SB.

Everyone is looking at the Cowboys to try to figure out just how good they are or if the regular season was somehow a fluke.

The above should just about take care of that.

All of this wishy washy speak is sickening. Dallas is at home, our crowd has been awesome. It's going to take a herculean effort to beat us period..

The OP is scared of NY and GB. The best thing that can happen is NY and GB battle it out and the winner barely survives to play another day all banged up. Meanwhile Seattle beats Detroit and goes to Atlanta where another battle royale takes place and the winner emerges all banged up. We would dominate a banged up NY or GB team and then dominate a banged up Atlanta or Seattle team. We are destined to face the Pats in Houston, folks.

Stafford hand is messed up, they have no shot of a playoff win.

For weeks now people have been saying whatever team is scary. How about stopping this weak minded nonsense and keep a rational focus. Or at least just enjoy the games without too much unreasonable anxiety.

You didn't read my post did you? You saw the phrase "have not been dominating opponents" and stopped reading right there.

First, I said, "have not been dominating opponents for an entire game.", with the bolded part being the whole point of my post. Second, the Browns won ONE game this year. Most teams dominated them. Most top 20 college teams would have dominated them.

In the Cincinatti game, the Cowboys dominated for 3 quarters, not the entire game. Dalton was 29-41, and threw for 269 yards and 2 touchdowns, no interceptions with a quarterback rating over 100 . You do not dominate a team and have their quarterback achieve those stats. You can beat a team whose quarterback has those stats, but you didn't dominate them.

As I said, the Cowboys have not been dominating teams for an entire game. They have had one or two great quarters against most teams, with a lot of those coming in the fourth quarter, which has greatly helped.

That is not a shot at the Cowboys or Prescott or the defense or any other area where some fan's feelings might get hurt assuming I have some sort of agenda, because I don't. I like this team. I have liked Dak Prescott longer than most other fans on this site and I have been optimistic when it comes to the defense this year. That said, thinking this team does not have weaknesses that will be targeted and possibly exploited in the playoffs by better teams than the Bengals, Browns, etc. is foolish and naive.

Again, as I said, in the playoffs, you typically need 3 or more great quarters of play to win games. Can you win with only one great quarter? Absolutely, assuming you win the turnover battle by multiple turnovers, especially returns for touchdowns, and/or if you score points on special teams beyond field goals. However, relying on one or both of those things to happen usually leads to a loss to an opponent playing conservative, yet mistake-free football. The most reliable way to win games in the playoffs is by winning 3 or more quarters.
Most top 20 college programs would dominate the Browns? Lol, Cleveland would beat Bama by 5 touchdowns

It's perplexing why the Giants give us trouble but then I see them vs virtually anyone else and they're so meh. I think the 10-7 game was mostly about weather and they're a total mirage.
I know right. They are terribly average against every other team it's mind boggling they beat us twice. I'm not scared of the Giants but I guess the match ups are just not in our favor.

The only team in the NFC playoffs that absolutely has no chance against us is the Lions. So yes, I'll be hoping we play them first.

How many teams dominate in every single win?

We dominated GB, second half of Lions, second half of Ravens, Browns, Cincy, Bears, Tampa (regardless of the score).

It's hard to dominate a game from front to back in this league. Teams end up making it close.

Name me an NFC team that has been dominating in every single one of their wins. This is silly logic.

I think you are missing my point. I am not saying "Unlike other teams, the Cowboys have not been dominating .." .. what I am saying is that "SINCE the Cowboys have not been dominating teams for ENTIRE games", that any team can beat them. I'm not saying any team will beat them nor am I suggesting they will lose because they are not dominating.

The team I'm most concerned with beating the Cowboys is the Cowboys. If they don't focus and execute a game plan crisply, it won't matter the opponent. Clean up the stupid self inflicted drive killing penalties, make the blocks and tackles etc.... . Do those things correctly and I like their chances no matter who they play.
Yes indeed
