Do you guys think that the signing of WR Jamel Richardson shows that the Cowboys aren't interested in drafting a WR in the 1st round? I know Dallas isn't counting on Richardson to be the next Michael Irvin, but it's just odd that we are trying to sign extra WR's in March. I think because of the high bust factor, our general management is really hesitant to draft a WR in the 1st. Unless one of the top DT falls to us, which is unlikely, I see us drafting either Aaron Ross, Chris Houston or Darrelle Revis. Thoughts?

You can't be serious. Jamel Anderson?

I doubt signing camp bodies means we are no longer interested in trying to find a franchise receiver

They're going BPA, either WR, CB, NT, LB, or OL with safety probably off the board if Hamlin is signed.

i was just wondering because 11 teams were after this guy..so teams must see something in him..he may be more than a training camp body

I'm thinking CB is where the value is going to be at with #22. With TNew in the last year of his contract and Henry and Glenn turning 31 and35 respectively, its about as big of a need as we have.

there would only be value at 22 if revis is there. but even then i'd rather have meacham, jarrett or bowe over revis anyways.

CB is definetly one of the wiser options to consider but we have depth issues in many spots so it's all speculation at best..:D

lets say when #22 comes, there's a WR and a CB on Dallas' draft board one after the other...i would go with CB regardless b/c i just think a CB would have more of an impact immediately on this team than a WR. Granted Owens and Glenn are known as being injury prone. However T.O. didn't miss a regular game last year and Glenn has missed 1 game in the past two years is it? What if Henry goes down? Henry has been injury prone ever since coming to Dallas as well. I'de be more comfortable with Crayton filling the #2 role if T.O. or Glenn gets hurt than Aaron Glenn or Jacque Reeves being the #2 CB if Henry gets hurt. JMO

how?

newman, henry and glenn are locks.

owens glenn, 1st rd, crayton. IMO this 1st round pick would def have a chance to have alot more playing time. crayton is about as good as he's going to get.

i'm saying i would rather have a rookie CB come in and start IF henry, newman or glenn gets hurt than a rookie WR coming in if Owens or Glenn gets hurt

I'm saying we may go CB or FS in the 1st but it won't have one thing to do with Jamel "CFL" Anderson. Not one thing.

We are set at corner with Newman, Henry, and Glenn. TO and TG are getting much older. No way is the CFL guy anywhere near as good as Meachem, Jarrett, Ginn, Bowe, ect. WR is definitly the first priority right now.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

It's like saying, "well, we signed Al Molinaro, that solves all problems on the O-line."

Jamel Anderson has less than a 1% chance of making the final roster.
