It's preseason people

To be totally honest , I'm not sweating the loss at all. First off, the number one thing I wanted to see was how the starters look, which was fantastic. Especailly the offense which looked like they were playing on the field by themselves. I wanted to see how Felix Jones looked... I am excited about this kid bigtime. Gotta give Tashard Choice his props....we really have a good crew of rbs. We pulled our stars quickly after the first drive and the chargers left their in until mid 2nd quarter. Special teams did suck but I doubt this the final group. Dallas looked at a ton of different players. Of course the we had what 10 penalties called before the charger had any. Did they ever get any called?!!

Some teams game plan to win in the preseason, others use it to take a serious look at the personel. We have some really tough descions to make personel wise. So before we jump off our roofs on our heads, lets remember it IS about putting our bubble guys/rookies in various situations to see how the respond. It is not to be undefeated in preseason. I'm a tad superstitious when it comes to my Cowboys, and it seems to me that whenever we had a great preseason record, we sucked in the regular season. So superbowl talk is back on Prossman

Hey Prossman.

There were some good things, for sure.

But some of the things that were a problem last year (especially in December) were penalties and poor special teams coverage ... just generally sloppy play.

It wasn't fixed last year and it became a problem late in the season.

Seven months later, lo and behold, it's still there.

Wade has to be fired for a tougher coach, period. It's too early to be freaking out. When the roster starts getting cut down and we still look like crap, then I will freakout. Prossman

I think when you look at the players that will contribute there were a lot of good things to get from that game...I could care less who wins pre-season games. How many have the Colts one in the last few years...lol

Expected contributors this year:
Felix = Very solid
Jenkins = Solid
Austin = Stepping up...seeing why we did not draft a marginal WR with him and Hurd
Stanback = Showing improvement...starting to see his speed and explosion
Choice = Looks real nice...would like to see him get some snaps this year
Zach Thomas = looked like an animal out there...he's gonna be a huge up grade.

If we lost our entire starting oline, or QB then we need to start worrying.

ST does need to step it up big time...that is my biggest concern right now.

It is preseason but SD did not play poorly on special teams, they played great. The special teams were the cause of this I really don't think you can just excuse that away with "it is just preseason"

It just does not look like their was a big emphasis put on special teams so far in camp. Most rookies trying to make the team should be going all out on ST to make their niche - we did not see that at all!
