It's a true testament to his route running ability when you see how often he is behind the secondary knowing that he was not a "burner" by wide receiver standards.

Notice how much Troy trusted him, he just gave him an opportunity to make a play. And thats what he did, over and over again.

Haha, I was thinking the same thing. I'm so glad the rules weren't in place for Irvin. He was hilarious and great to watch after the score. Rod Tidwell with way more touchdowns.

When I look back, he has to be one of the most flamboyant personalities, and really the most prominent touchdown celebrator for the receiver position. He has to be THE guy that influenced all the primadonna receivers of today. He just understood he had to back it up and get in the end zone often to have the right to celebrate.

Probably only 1 or 2. He would have been smart enough or more appropriately not selfish enough to keep getting penalized for the same thing over and over when it came to on the field stuff.
