They never should have given Gregory 94 to begin with. LOL. I could say they should have never drafted him. But all of that is hindsight. So they better learn from this. But will they.

Leave Irving with his same number 95. Let him have the opportunity to make that number somewhat legendary in his own right.

maybe draft pick or free agent can dust it off.

Let's hope so. I think they need to be in the FA market this year for a DE. There may be only a few that may help, or they will get the types they already have.
Drafting late, they will get about the same, unless someone slips to them. But still can get a solid player. We will pick between 28 and 32.

These are the DE's listed as FA's as of now. Some decent names, but will they sign a player over 30 on some of these. Some will be resigned by their current teams most likely.

I believe they still assign 94 to another player. Then give Gregory another number when he returns. If he returns.

DWare did say he wanted to play again and he is available...

Doubtful but based on some of his comments last year before the broncos Super Bowl, you could tell it would've been more special if he won one here. If he leaves Denver for whatever reason and wants to still play...he would be an ideal situational pass rusher.

I would absolutely love this.

Though it may be coming from an emotional/nostalgic place, I would absolutely love DWare to finish up back in Big D.

I seen a few days ago, he has back and neck issues, that may make him to retire. He was put on IR for the last week of the season.

greatest number on D - 54 Randy White. My all time favorite player.
94 Haley and Ware.
72 Too Tall.
79 Harvey Martin.
50 Sean Lee
55 DD Dlewis

Just a few more awesome numbers and who made them awesome. But 54 is tops and always will be in my book.

He made a comment a few days after those reports hinting that he will be back. He is a FA as well I believe. If it doesn't work out on Denver and we have interest, I would bet we would be his next choice.

He very well may be done though. Situational pass rusher on a one year deal would be worth it though.
