He has to be one of the dumbest players in the league and maybe in all of sports. I cannot believe how stupid you'd have to be to do this AGAIN!

This is so idiotic in so many ways. Ja has fumbled the bag in historic manner. His antics are costing him tens of millions of dollars in future contract money, and he just keeps actively working to lose more.

Dude is a complete and utter moron
I don’t fallow the NBA, but I know who Ja Morant is. Pardon my ignorance, but what ls the back story here? Does he have a criminal record that would disqualify him from owning a firearm?

Just trying to understand…

What a complete and absolute moron. Especially since this isn't even the first time this YEAR he's had an incident like this.

Still can’t figure out why he’s not allowed to have a gun…
He was suspended 2 months ago for flashing a gun on IG Live while at a strip club while on a team road trip. Pretty much all of that was either illegal or against NBA rules, but served his suspension, did some counseling, made a remorseful speech, etc.

Here we are again 2 months later and again he's flashing a gun on IG Live. While it's not necessarily illegal to have a gun, we don't know his gun ownership status, he's waving a gun around while he and his friends are rolling down a street, which might be considered illegal if considered "brandishing". At the very least, it's very reckless and unsafe to do that and extremely dumb to do that after just getting suspended for doing a similar thing.

If he had just shown himself at a range safely handling and/or shooting a gun or just posing with a gun at home, that might be one thing, probably still too soon after the last time, but rolling down the street waving it around while playing fake gangster is outright foolish.

Thank you, I did not realize. I appreciate you explaining it.

It wasn’t his gun. Waiving guns around doesn’t align with the image/brand of the NBA.

He likely cost himself $39M in additional money had he made the All NBA this season.

Unless he is a convicted felon he has a 2nd amendment right to own a gun.
Nobody has said otherwise. He has also signed a contract where image and league reputation matter, and where a code of conduct was collectively bargained for by the teams and players. He literally has nobody to blame but himself and has no argument to make.

I'm not a pro athlete, but I have 3 decent size safes, and the only time I put a picture of any of them out there for the world to see is when I'm selling one ;)

For the newbies who are married and just starting, start with 2 safes. It's harder for the misses to keep track of LOL

Not illegal but really stupid in this day and age.

Though the way the NBA kissed Chinese boots and all that happens over THERE the NBA has no room to be moral or ethical on anyone.

Yup! I can easily see that coming.

I mean, I know the NBA is usually pretty lenient with their wheel of discipline, as opposed to the NFL. However, being lenient clearly didn't work with Morant. So, I think Adam Silver is going to need a bigger wheel of discipline.

He'll come out with a B.P. level "I'm sorry" video and no suspension is my guess.
I feel this video is being overblown but he's showing he isn't the brightest of the bunch.
Going to lose millions over this drama though for sponsors/no max deal with conditions hit.
