Maybe McClay, Garrett, and the new personnel guy can have Jerry, Charlotte, Stephen, and Larry Lacewell kidnapped the morning of the draft and hold them until the draft is over.

Actually Charlotte is a pretty shrewd business woman. I'd rather her take over when Jerry dies than Stephen.

Let's not be overly concerned about Crawford doing due diligence to attract a more lucrative position for himself with another team.

I'm feeling confident that the Cowboys will make sure to pay attention to finding help for the defensive line in the upcoming draft.

The Cowboys will probably make him a fair offer to keep him around for another year. If the Steelers decide to overpay, so be it.

Never been impressed

I agree completely... Never been impressed watching him playing as a DE, little better inside. Guess coaching staff feels the same way. Versatility isn't as attractive when he is a JAG at both positions. His sacks last year were coverage sacks when QB held ball too long.

I don't know if his sacks were all coverage sacks or not without going back to see, but he probably got to the QB at a higher rate than any of our other DLs last season, given how many reps he had. Fourth year player. Plays 3 (or 4, depending how you feel about it) positions on the line. Good team guy still on the upswing in a position group that still needs to add bodies. This is a guy you try not to lose if you can keep him. The only question is the numbers.

I haven't seen much about a day set for him to visit PIT, either. Anybody know when that was suppose to happen? Or did it happen already?

Yeah I'm shocked people weren't impressed with Jack. I was more impressed by him than I was Tyrone.

Tyrone played with one arm most of the season. He had trouble getting leverage with just one arm working.
To his credit, he never complained and played the whole season with the condition. He had to have surgery
after the season on it.

Steelers have cap issues, their fans were posting that he's going to have to be cheap.

I think a lot of people just pay more attention to the names or to what announcers point out.

I'm curious to see what he ends up signing for. Reports early in preseason were that we were interested in bringing him back. He either wanted a lot of money, or to just do a one year contract.

The Steelers signed ex-Charger Ricardo Matthews today. This probably means Crawford is not in their plans at the moment.

The logical side of my brain can't blame a guy for seeking out better pay. It's a business after all. The emotional side of me makes me cringe any time a Cowboy might become a Squealer.

I agree 100%, I think the Cowboys are letting him kick the tires and if what they think what he's worth is not exceeded
by other teams, they may bring him back on a 1-2 year deal.

I was sort of expecting him to come home from the Stealers and sign whatever the deal was we had on the table. Assuming, of course, the Stealers didn't beat the offer. But they seem to have gone in another direction. Hopefully we get something reasonable done now.

He will most likely come home with his tail between his legs if the market has dried up. That's the NFL.

It's looking that way.

You could see where the guy might have been expecting a fairly significant payday. It sucks for him that that's not the way it worked out. I do hope we bring him back for at least the season, though. We need the depth and we could use the insurance. Especially if we're thinking of moving a player like T Crawford or Irving outside at some point in a pinch.
