Jaelan Phillips traded to Eagles

30 years later and the Jerry sycophants say this crap.
This is one time where I agree with him.

Too much instant gratification going on, with fans acting like Veruca Salt.

That's EXACTLY how Jerry and our front office think.

Meanwhile, Roseman is wheeling and dealing EVERY year to make sure they are competing.
We LOVE our draft picked, we so dearly cherish them and keep planning the draft board.

I heard Jimmy said that he made over 50 trades while at Dallas. Something no one heard of before and since then successful teams are doing the same.

The difference is that Roseman will be fired if he does not deliver titles. Jerry on the other hand won't miss a beat if the Cowboys go 0-17. It's just 1 year.

How the hell is it instant gratification after 30 years?
Because it has nothing to do with what has or hasn’t happened in other years.

This is about making a trade (or not) today.

This is all true, but folks are tired of watching the Eagles play 4D chess while the Jones Boyz continue to play checkers, which I get.
Sure but common sense has to win out here.

I don't need Jerry making a stupid trade just to make myself feel better because he's doing something.

What’s ‘proven’ is that he’s injured a whole lot.

It’s also ‘proven’ that the team that drafted him doesn’t want to keep him.

Apparently, you don’t value them at all.
Nope, also proven another team that just happens to be respected as the most productive FO in the league, found value in this guy.

Also if he doesn’t resign they still receive the compensatory pick you’d over value.

We value picks, I don’t trust this FO to evaluate defensive players and draft them well. I’d rather trade the 1 for a proven defensive player with futures in mind, then go draft Mazi Smith

You will get a George Pickens instead for that 3rd rounder ...think I will take that deal over an injured former 1st rounder that has underachieved

The Eagles are stacked on offense so they don't really need to trade picks for offensive players. Not really an apples to apples comparison.

Also the Eagles are trading in an area of weakness; mid-season to try and help the team win in pursuit of another Super Bowl.

If it works out everyone saying its not a big deal, or won't make a dofference, will be saying they are Super Team again.

Maybe the Eagles FO will shame Jerry into finally making a move? The only problem is we need more than 1 play maker to be a respectable team. In my dream of dreams I would hope somebody foolish would give us a low first round pick for Pickens. He's a heck of a player, but a head case. A team that really needs a receiver could do worse than him.

Yeah you clearly didn't read any of the comments and just wanted to type or the heck of it so you could use that emoji.
Not one person said he’s washed. You tried to make a Straw man argument and failed.

Look up and after you do that. Go argue and seek attention from your loved ones. Instead of trying to get it from me.

Thanks in advance!

You people want to argue and talk out the side of your mouth so bad, that you dont read. Guess "reality" is "strawman" for you. Or you dont actually know what that means. Either way you've been proven to be wrong in real time.

I know.

It’s not a 3rd rounder

And it’s likely not a 4th rounder either.

A 5th rounder might be conceivable, but their best chance for return might be a contract extension.
Cowherd said it’ll be a third… I bet you it wind up being a fourth

Do you envision any possible scenario where he plays well enough to earn a contract that pays him within the top 95-100% of contracts for an edge defender?

In 8 games?
He’s already very highly thought of… In spite of your opinion. So yes… I do think it’s very possible that he’ll wind up signing a contract at that level… Remember new contracts are almostalways overpayments.

If that should happen, I invite you to tell me about it.

When it doesn’t, be sure to acknowledge that as well.
