Jaelan Phillips traded to Eagles

That's great for Dallas cause he is washed. Green Bay and Baltimore are both considered top player evaluating teams and both have passed on Alexander in less than one years time.
He's 28 years old and has struggled with injuries. Let's hope he is not back to his all-pro level of health and was just a poor fit in Baltimore.

It’s a higher price than I would be willing to pay for a half season rental.

I’m glad it isn’t Dallas paying that price.
Yeah I’ll give them credit for being smart right enough to know not to trade high picks but there’s still time to do something stupid.

Stash is right. If Dallas traded a 3rd for 8 games the Zone would be ridiculing the FO for years.
Well I think you hope it isn’t a rental but I also don’t know his value in free agency. Edge rushers good or bad seem to get a nice check.

While not all Eagle moves work out, you have to admit they properly evaluate their weaknesses and are aggressive trying to fix them. They also tend to do pretty well in their trades. Not all, but enough to have a good track record.

Sucks for them they are not positioned well in these hot natural gas buying opportunities though. #winning

Watched Philips in Miami, not too upset at "missing" out on him.
Don't think he's been the same player since the Achilles. Maybe going to the Eagles will refresh him, but don't think it's a slam dunk trade for them

It's a great move for a team that's very close to a chip again.

I think you have to be careful with this approach. Cowboys would be stupid to keep failing trade after trade. These are essentially players who other teams don’t want…a third is high.

But if you think your close to another ring,a dart throw like this trade could help alot. I applaud a competent GM that sees things for what they are, not what they want. Jerry never looks in the mirror and criticizes himself to make the team better, instead he doubles down on delusional thinking to save face.

This is a good gamble for them. He has some injury concerns, but a 3rd rd pick is worth the gamble.

Yeah if we made that trade the board would have said we where fleeced. The Eagles traded what we traded for Pickens for a half season rental.

Side note, teams are not giving away players. The only way the Cowboys get any of the top guys is their first round picks will have to be in the deal (Crosby, Simmons, Williams). 2nd round pick + for Trey Hendrickson.

So Ingles added this guy, I'll be getting back there best pass rusher in a week or 2 and they brought Brandon Graham out of retirement. They'll be improved.
