What do you guys think of him? Any way he makes the roster ? Iknow we are stacked at WR. He's alot similar in built to T.O.

He has a shot if he plays well but some other things need to fall in place. Gramatica has to win the K job outright and give them no reason to keep the rookie to kickoff. He probably needs for the team to only keep 2 QBs and even then he may have to beat out Hurd or Stanbeck which will be hard to do. He will be interesting to watch in camp and preseason games.

What does anybody really know about him? My guess is few have seen him play. If he can play in this league, he has a chance. Now if that is with the Cowboys (and their crowded WR situation) or not who knows.

Well if you want to be extremely optomistic, he could possibly be the Romo of our wr's.

But i wouldnt bet on it. I'd love for that to be true though

I hope he does well, but I just don't see him making this team. From my limited knowledge he's looked pretty good in the CFL but we are pretty stacked at WR so he'll have to show a lot IMO.

TO, TG, and PC are locks unless one or more end up on IR. Yeah, horrible thought. I don't see them keeping more than 5 WRs. I think they'll keep Stanback. I suppose he could go on IR if he doesn't show enough and others do. Could he make it on the PS?? May be too much publicity. That leaves one spot for Hurd, Austin, Richardson, and others. If he can beat out Hurd and Austin then that would be a big plus for us as I think Hurd and Austin are decent 4-5 WRs. Is Richardson eligible for the PS?

Stanback is going to be on the roster. He's a developmental guy - he is switching positions -- you can't make that pick unless you are committed to the player for a few years. He's not clearing waivers -- there were reports that a couple other teams wanted him in the 4th as well.

Austin's roster spot hinges on his work as the KR. If he keeps fumbling 10% of his touches, he'll not make the team. Hurd is the best receiver of the bunch and he does well on ST.

I can see keeping 6 WR - we'd likely go light on RB and not carry a 3rd halfback. Our 3rd HBs last year got a total of 17 carries. I'm sure Barber would be happy to pick up that slack.

I think we need to keep 6 receivers, just because our top 2 are in the twilight of their careers. We need to keep the developmental guys for the future.

Jarv, I agree with you on keeping 6 WRs due to our starters being in the twilight of their careers. I will be pleasantly surprised if both Owens and Glenn make it through the year without injury and that's why I would like to see us keep 6 WRs.

of course there are always developmental guys coming out of college every year. Stanback is the only guy I see who has a shot at being a good contributor at WR - and he's a bit of a long shot as well.

This is the only point for now - we can't comment on a guy we haven't seen. Perhaps if some have watched a lot of Canadian football they can have something of an opinion, but considering the NFL is a different level of football that really wouldn't help too much.

For now he has to be thought of as a big long shot - but I'm open minded enough to wait and see him play before making any firm statements.
