James Harrison has twice as many sacks in two games than all our DEs combined

He has 4 sacks in the last two games and we have 2 total. Harrison was retired and out of football until just a few weeks ago too. I really wish we could have signed him and used him as a designated pass rusher while we were waiting on Lawrence. He most certainly gives that Steelers defense a mean streak. Flacco played scared the entire game after the first hit by Harrison.

The Steelers are fortunate that some good players wanted to play there and they agreed to whatever terms the Steelers wanted.

Both Harrison and Keisel are playing well and on the cheap.

They are going one direction, .. we are going the other.

I'm dying here.

Me too. They are absolutely the healthiest team in the NFL. Not one player is yet on season ending IR and seem to be getting guys back every week. They also have to have the easiest schedule in the NFL.

I'm afraid this is looking more and more like 2008 where we were looking good early until Romo got injured and then the season falls apart (partly due to an inept backup QB situation) all the while the Steelers get better as the year goes on and ends up beating the Cardinals in the Super Bowl while we fail to even make the playoffs.

I hate it when my main objective as a fan becomes rooting for every team that plays the Steelers and just praying that someone takes them down before they go all the way to the Super Bowl. Everyone know that once they get there the opposition will have to beat them and the refs too.

OMG a good player is doing better than our not-as-good players? Surely you jest.

Harrison was awesome last night. Can't believe he was retired. He is still damn good

I can't believe that the Bengals had him last year and rarely used him as a pass rusher. They tried to make a traditional inside linebacker out of him. How stupid are some of these coaches in the NFL?

I could have written this, word for word.

I don't really "hate it", .. but it is a little embarrassing. LOL

When you go from being cut 3 times to DPOY, .. I tend to agree.

And along with that he's pushing younger guys around like they were children. You don't get stronger and faster as you get older, unless you're supplementing with something. I remember Flo Jo. Loved her to death, but she went from losing races by two or three meters to some of the best sprinters in the world to blowing them out in a matter of four years. I'm sorry, but NO training and technique is going to allow you to make that significant of a jump unless you're using PEDs.

Similarly, Harrison was playing like he's a rookie. He looked better than DeMarcus Ware at his age.

Yeah, color me skeptical.

Harrison told police he and Beth Tibbott were arguing on March 8, and then he broke through her bedroom door, slapped her in the face and snapped her cell phone in half. The Steelers have said the couple were arguing about whether to baptize Harrison's son.

LOL, .. you couldn't make that up.

With all of the attention the NFL has had between domestic violence and abuse, .. interesting that the face of the Steelers is a rapist, and they welcomed back Harrison after his arrest for domestic violence against a woman.

SMH

Other teams would get called on that.

I don't care how many sacks someone on another team has. The lack of sacks from our team is completely unacceptable of an NFL team.

I really do not see the point of these posts that point out our defensive shortcomings. Our defense is performing well above expectations and has not even been close to the reason for any of our 3 losses. Our offense is where the attention needs to be.

This seems about along the same lines as what Ray Rice did.

Perhaps if we had a video, that slap in the face was more than a slap.

I quick look and didn't see any indication that he had missed time for failing a drug/banned substance test anytime in his 14 year career.

Maybe it was HGH, however, I've also witnessed here on CZ over the years that any time another 3-4 OLB rose up and seemed to challenge D.Ware for the limelight, these kinds of accusations here on CZ pop up everywhere. James Harrison in 2007 - 2010 was constantly accused and later on Clay Matthews as well.

I don't know what to make of it.

He/they looked excellent. It is a long season though. A few weeks ago the Ravens looked like one of the best teams in the league (and they will still be a very tough out if they make the playoffs), but now they are in the last place in their division.

I tend to watch the cowboys with a critical eye, but it certainly appears the good franchises find ways to improve as the season progresses (minus the killer Injuries), while the Cowboys seem to show more cracks in their foundation as the season gets longer.
