January 17, 2010 Big game & my birthday, win Boys!

Ok, January 17, is my birthday, win that game boys, and for my pregame birthday i want the cardinals to beat the saints, so if we win and cardianals win, we can play the big championship game in cowboys stadium for my birthday. Please let this happen LORD and Go Cowboys!

I was reading a Vikes message board last night and one of the ladies' on the board's birthday is the 17th also. She was also hoping for a "Nice Birthday present". Poor girl, the last time the playoffs were on her B-day was when the Vikes lost to the Falcons in the NFCG.

I could sympathize with her pain because my wife is a hardcore Vikes fan and she was absolutely devastated that day. Only time I've ever seen my wife cry over a football game (but I could totally relate). If someone would have put Gary Anderson in front of her face that day, I think she would have killed him. Unbelievable that the guy was perfect on the year up until that kick.

For what it's worth, Joe, I hope your Birthday ends up happier than hers.

Actually I met my wife while I was touring with my band in Minnesota. So the Vikes thing was just part of the package. She's been having fun with me this week, that's for sure. Woke up to a Vikings bumper sticker taped to my bumper this morning (she was smart enough not to actually affix the sticker itself. The last time we played the Vikes in the playoffs (which we lost) she went out and bought vikings paper plates and purple plastic silverware to serve the days snacks.

I think I'll change her license plate holder tonight.:

Ironically, the last time the Cowboys won a road playoff game was on January 17, 1993 when they beat the 49ers in the NFC Championship game.

How about this: the last time the Cowboys won a playoff game in Minnesota was the 1975 Hail Mary Game, and the Super Bowl that year was in Miami.

Hope it goes well for you birthday guys... Last time we played on my birthday was 44-6. I was drunk by 2 and in bed by 9, so my birthday wasn't that great. Also, before last Saturday, the last playoff win was on my 11th birthday. Go 'Boys.

cool, i didnt know it was bradie james birthday too;
well i didnt get my pregame birthday wish because the saints won but as long as we win sunday against vikings im happy. Hopefully, the cowboys win on my birthday tomorrow. joe
