Good, probably puts Bears more in the secondary market with first pick. Hope Eli persuades Giants he needs more weapons, TE, OL or WR. Let Donald fall.

Looks like the Cowboys stuck to their guns and did not overpay for past performance with an aging player. Not the end of the world.

Ah, the PROCESS rolls on . . . . . . . .

Not really. If the season started today, their starting right defensive tackle would be Nate Collins.

Have to like what they added. Lamarr Houston, Willie Young, Darryl Tapp and now Allen. That is pretty much remaking a DL in one offseason.

Good...I would love to see him in a Cowboys uni, but no way I would have went four years for Allen.

The Cowboys have been making all the right signings and letting the deAd weight go this offseason. Again passing on a player who threatened "retirement". Do we want that guy leading our team. Although I think highly of JA it was the correct move and a potential Ayers signing would be just what the good doctor ordered.

I want to see the numbers. If it is front loaded, it is a bad deal.

But then again, they have cap space to work with, so it is their money.

That's fine. Im glad we didn't get this player even though I think he is awesome.

He is just not the type of player this team needs at this point.

Im kinda hoping we come away with Ealy in round 1. I think that guy has a lot of talent and if he learns to get off the snap faster he'll be a really good edge rusher.

Signing Ayers would be about as significant as signing Mincey to be honest. He is not a solution. That comes from the draft.

Well, at least Alex Carrington is a Ram so we do not have to hear that one again.

Robert Ayers, you are our only hope.

I would rather take a chance on Shawn Phillips. I mean Finding someone as good as Ayers in or after the draft wouldn't be a monumental task. I know Phillips has been a 3-4 OLB but I would bet that he is a better 4-3 end than ayers any time.

Ealy is becoming very overrated because he is probably the only DE we are likely to have a shot at. I would be Ekuban-like impressed if he was our first round selection.

A cheap situational rusher, a real rusher than a body like Ayers would be who I would spend money on a one year deal. Phillips would be okay for that. At least he has proven he can rush the passer. Ayers' main charm is, well, he's young.

Love his style and fire but don't love 32 and the money he wanted. Glad we didn't go there. I do like the Bears new D line though short term.

Fair point...you have to see the actual numbers before judging. A lot of four year deals turn out to be two year deals with basically option years.
