He is good at playing man on a TE. He isn't a free safety. He isn't a corner. He is the jack of all trades, but master of none.

Unfortunately those are a dime a dozen in this league and in no way warrants a 1st round pick

He's not a football player, but he's a heck of an athlete. One pick on a hail mary in two seasons is indicative of him not really understanding how to play football. He's always in position but finds a way to not make a play or just make a tackle after he's given up a first down. Very unimpressive. Maybe try him in the return game or move him back to corner where he doesn't have to think as much.

Even though they are different types of safeties, I'd trade him right now for Landon Collins. Yes, I said it. I'd take Landon Collins over him
Me, you and everybody else would trade Jones for Collins, problem is the Giants and no one in their right mind would make that trade. I'm in the group that's disappointed with Jones play at this point in his career. Like some have said, he looks the part, but it does not translate on the field, at least hasn't yet. Maybe the light bulb will go on next season.

Byron Jones was not in man coverage of Cook, team was in prevent zone coverage and Jones had underneath while Church was over the top. It was simply a poor call, or wrong call at wrong time. Marinelli gambled on flooding DBs in zone instead of putting pressure on Rogers and it bit us in the ace.

Should have never come to this, Garrett should have used up all of the clock before kicking field goal or go for win instead by throwing in end zone EVEN ONCE.

Nope…even Glenn Smith (former Cowboys assistant) said on Dale Hansen's show that, while they were in zone, Jones saw the TE coming into his zone, and because of that, it was his responsibility.

Cook was the only receiver in his area of responsibility.
