Our offense should be good enough to score 20-30 every week. With a strong running game and good defense (which we have), you can win in this league. We have a major problem with our passing game right now. Its not Romo, its not our receivers, its the offensive system. Every time we get momentum running the ball, we move to shotgun or trips and start throwing the ball on 1st and second down. WHO IS GARRET FOOLING? The guy thinks he is fooling people. Let them know its a run and stuff it down their throat. When they stack 7 & 8 you still must run for 3-4 yards, don't abandon the run. Then after they are FULLY committed you take some shots down the field. We are not getting enough points out of the run game (yards have been very good). Run the ball more consistently and mix in some short passes ( 3 step drops, slants, drags etc ) to Witten and RW. That is what needs to be done with the type of personnel we have. Deep outs, ins and posts are NOT going to work, when the teams are not committed to stopping the run.

This offense has an identity problem. To win we are going to have to stick with the run ( a little more) and play time of possession, mix in shorts passes to WR's and play hard nosed defense. We have to go back to playing smash mouth NFC football. This team has the players for that, its too bad about the coaches, it really is.

Be careful.......that's a good way to get thrown off this board! You're making too much since and a lot of "guys" want him as our next HC.

I can't recall a single poster who's been "thrown off the board" because he or she criticized Jason Garrett.

It's tough to keep pounding the rock when your star rb is not 100% and his back up is a 3rd down back.

What bugs me is that our recievers are never wide open. Every other team I see, especially the ones we play, have wide open recievers for the qb to throw to. Even the teams with worse wr's are wide open at times.

Romo always has to fit the ball in a tight spot. I don't know if its the patterns, the wr's or great defense. Tony has to be be perfect on all his throws.

Something is just not right.

I was being sarcastic. I just know a lot of the "upper hierarchy" on this board are fond of him and want him as our next HC.

He might be someday.....but it won't be for us. The team won't listen to him. If they did...they already would!

Our receivers were open quite a few times tonight.

It's Garrett's lame scheme. it's so basic and is nothing new since he took over in 2007.

I don't think he's terrible but he definitely has a lot of work to do. I'm happy he's learned to run the ball more or show some balance, but he needs to come up with schemes that get our receivers more involved or open. Every other team in the league seems to do it.

WRs are not up to par, there is no deep threat. Offense is very ordinary without Felix. Romo not an elite QB.

Yeah I don't have a lot of faith left in Jason Garrett...Something needs to change. Funny where you said he thinks he is fooling somebody. I've thought that exact thing at least a handful of times each game for about the last year or so.

Why is "just run the damn ball" so hard to understand? Garrett obviously is not as smart as everyone thought.

Get rid of Phillips and Garrett -- they both seem clueless.

How is it Garrett's fault that Romo fumbles away a 10 - 0 lead?

How is it Garrett's fault that Romo misses a wide open RW in the red zone to start the 3rd quarter and gets picked by Bailey?

How is it Garrett's fault Romo missed 3 wide open WRs on our final 2 possessions?

Blame Garrett all you want but Romo is NOT playing up to snuff right now and he keeps making bone headed plays that take points off the board or lead to easy scores for our opponents. This game is on Romo.

Romo couldn't hit the side of a barn tonight. Did you guys see how many bricks he threw???? There were some pretty poor plays being called but tonight Romo was Brad Johnson with pink wheels...

TonyRomo#9

and yet romo lead the team down the field to win, and hurd cant catch the ball twice. it is garretts fault hurd is even in, where is martyB in the redzone on a crucial play? garrett is dragging this team down. romo made the plays to win, garrett is just what Ray lewis said he was.. predictable, and he hasn't changed.. the WRs arent getting open cause garrett keeps calling the same plays..
