Gotta love how all the people that were on record saying this team would be lucky to win 5 games are demanding 12 wins to consider it a good coaching season.

Gotta love how 3 consecutive non-winning seasons is blamed on injuries and lack of talent, however the first winning season is now all due to coaching.

Seldom is methodical going to receive COTY and I can see that.
Red has taken the long view in building and [the privilege ] this team.
There are other coaches as mentioned up thread that have been pretty good.
Just give Red his due. He deserves it. When a person is doing the right thing
and some are throwing rocks at him it only belittles the rock thrower.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised so many people are quick to dismiss Garrett as a candidate- but I just don't see how he's not at least in the conversation for coach of the year.

Pretty much every "expert" had us doing a complete tank job this year. Our guy deserves some serious props.

Depends on how he finishes the season. If we lose out to Philly again and miss the playoffs, you can't give it to him. If we finish off the rest of the year strong, then you can consider Garrett in the running.

His predecessor won 2 division titles and a playoff game in a 3 year span..................Garrett just broke 500 in year 4......................lets see how this season ends before we get the anointing oil out to quote Parcells.

I think even if we go 10-6 he'd be in the top 5. Remember guys like Keyshawn called us the WORST team in NFL. Going 10-6 with no defensive talent earns at least votes for COY. I agree 12-4 wins it and 11-5 might depending on how Cleveland does. I think they're more deserving right now considering their offseason was a nightmare.

I don't know. Kelly was missing 3/5's of his o-line at one time or another for almost every game to date. He lost his best linebacker weeks ago. Their corners suck ***. For Christ's sake, he's winning with Mark F-N Sanchez. He must be a front runner for Coach of the Year based on that alone, lol!
