I wonder how hard it is for Belichek to keep from laughing.Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett in the stands at Senior Bowl practices talking to New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Probably talking about Nick Saban. That's the only thing these 2 have in common.I'd love to be a fly on the wall for that.
Jason's no dummy.
He doesn't come off like one. I bet many take him very seriously.
On game-day? The guy makes more boneheaded decisions than not.
BUT- many around the league respect the guy for one reason or another.
I bet there's a reason.
He reminds me (when I used to manage Call Centers) of the prospective employee who could dazzle you during the interview process.
The guy looks clean and can talk a good game. Anyone would want to hire him off a job interview. He's got his stuff together and comes off as the guy who is going places.
Then comes the Real World and all the good game he talked in the interview doesn't translate into the Game.
Then, as a boss- you question his results and he has an answer to every one of your concerns so you let him keep going.
This is a fatal mistake as a boss. To win in anything- results are what matter- not talking a good game about how to fix your fatal errors when in the fire.
Some bosses get tricked into buying into these hucksters.
Some don't.
Jason's a smart guy and I'm sure he would much rather succeed rather than keep playing smoke and mirrors with Hoss Jones.
I wish him the best, but I would have fired the guy if he was my employee.

Interesting.
On the one hand you have Garrett who, as you describe, would be a great interview and has an answer to everything. But on the field, he fails at every turn.
On the other you have Bill Belichek who shows up to the interview in a hoodie and makes it obvious that the interview is a waste of his time. But he gets real results.
These 2 couldn't be more different.

Jason Garrett said the Cowboys have to get DE DeMarcus Ware to the point where he's healthy and can practice more regularly.
Jason Garrett: "We got to do a better job to break through and become the team we want to be.
Asked about coordinators returning, Jason Garrett says those guys are under contract
And those are the guys (Belichick) that I would hire right then and there.
My bosses and HR would think I was insane and kablam! My team starts killing numbers.
I looked for Producers, not Actors.
I sometimes miss those days...
McDonalds misses you to, bro.
I'm guessing you were trying to knock me down a rung or two...
No success there, brother. All I say is from the heart and as true as the day is blue.
I lose- I call it. I win- I call it.
I fly in the clouds. You?
McDonalds misses you to, bro.
Bill & Jason are both good friends with Jimmy. Fishing buddies. You'd think with all these great mentors he'd learn a thing or two. Still waiting.
