Best edge rush will always come from he RDE in this system. He did looked good out there against NY, but we'll get better pressure with the return of Mr. Mince this week.

Mincey will really help
But Gregory appears to be the best pass rusher we have
Haven't seen hardy yet though

I will hold off on calling him the best, there isnt enough tape for me. He does look good in limited action, though.

I hate how Garret says we absolutely need to run the ball better. I mean I think we all agree running the ball better would help, but the next step for our running is for our passing game to actually open it up so the box isn't crowded ....

And Dez. Man, it's frustrating playing these games with an arm and a leg tied behind our backs.

We just have to hope that the playoffs aren't out of reach by the time we get Romo back.

It doesn't really matter how much it gets said by the players and coaches. Fans just don't want to hear it.

Though, what Brandon says here does actually conflict with what Williams specifically said about throwing it to the checkdown receiver earlier in the week. The point's the same, though. He was doing what they wanted him to do and everybody in the organization is backing that up with the possible exception of the Stephen comment from Monday that I haven't seen the full context for.

From what I saw they were playing single safety high, CB were off the line keeping plays in front of them. Garrett mentioned having the outside throws not necessarily the deep throws

Yes. This is what they were reporting when they talked about Atlanta playing to limit attempts at deeper passes.

No kidding. That would be the worst.

I do take some consolation in how bad the other NFCE teams are, at least. If we just get to playing better football with the players we do have, we can be a pretty good team. Significant defensive help is on the way soon.

Can Hardy and Ro McClain practice, or are they limited to weight room, meetings etc ?

McClain is at the complex working out and attending meetings. Hardy has to stay away until his suspension is over, which is the day after the Saints game.

If Weeden and the coaches really believe this then this is the reason why they were out coached and out executed in the 2nd half of last week's game. Atlanta adjusted on both sides of the ball right before half time and Cowboys never realized it. Scary.

Kind of makes those Weeden bashing threads a little silly.

Right there it was about getting outcoached.

That is what I call a bad game plan.

It was not hard to diagnose even when it happened. It was not Weeden being scared.

The clear thing here is the D was expected to a lot more than stink up Jerry Jones' stadium.

Bashing Weeden for playing the way he was directed by coaches is wrong no doubt. But throwing a pick on first down as he rolls outside while backed up on our side of the field and leading 21-7 is Weeden's fault and he deserves to be called out for it. Throwing the ball away was the safer play for a guy who sucks throwing on the run. That one play was a 10 to 14 point swing. Sliding 2 yards shy of the 1st down during crunch time while Dallas was rallying to score was definitely a brain fart by Weeden as well.

Romo has made boneheaded plays that resulted in huge momentum swings like that as well. You can't deny that.

I am not going to pretend Weeden has a functional brain. I can't stand him and his eyes are too close together.

But to bash him for a similar thing our franchise QB has done before is just not honest if you really think about it.
